I remember it was a big deal (to me anyway) when Obama was negotiating a free trade agreement & US pharmaceutical companies were pushing for us to give up our PBS scheme as part of that. Thank fuck our govt said no... I think it was Ruddy... just going on memory here, have not googled to check...
