70 hour workweeks with no days off though lol. Considering that I put in 120 hours a month on my other "job" a month during some months that's not too far off what I'm currently doing

a single hard slam breaks the door so you can pry it off without much force, tesla's autopilot is getting reports that cars on autopilot are suddenly driving themselves off the road with nothing prompting it, and THEN you get into Elon Musk where he was already acting crazy when it released.

because all the in pent up resent and frustration against you and the emotions that you aren't even responsible for are going to come back crashing onto you. I don't even have to lift a fucking finger to help with your downfall, you're already digging your own grave deep enough

But there's going to be a subset of society that abuses that social contract day after day propped up by people who enable them every step of the way. I don't even want to find out what happens to you when the people who enable you disappear

You know there were no-fly lists in other countries with harsh theocracies to punish infidels and people who went against the main religions. I'm not living in a country that's under the same religious theorcracy, good fucking luck forcing that shit on me

but here you are, picking and choosing what you want to practice and believe. Keep your fucking dogma to yourself, Neither I or the rest of the world would give a single fuck about what religion you want to force on others.

the crumbs have been then exposed to the slight breeze that peeled off the tape in the first place and have been blowing miniscule amount of asbestos crumbs into my room for a good few months now. Yeah, it's asbestos, it crumbles EXTREMELY finely. I'm just FUCKED.

"well it should be safe as long as you don't break it off right?" here's the thing. I ghetto sealed the vent on the ceiling with duct tape because the AC is on full blast despite it being 50 degrees in the house. part of the duct tape has peeled off with some asbestos crumbs stuck to it.

I asked my landlord but he hasn't answered yet. But if this guy knew and raised my rent up 3 times and just decides to acknowledge it after me living here for 6 years like he told me that it was actually one of my roommates that gave me covid 8 months after it happened, oh my god.

"you need to be passionately rational, be eager and opportunistic and grossly underspend" are we fucking back to telling millennials that eating avocado toast and starbucks for breakfast is the reason why they can't buy a house in 2025? journalism is dead www.investopedia.com/warren-buffe...

it's warren buffet's right hand man talking about the boomer days when he made $300k total from his 13 years of being a lawyer. $100k in 1970s money is over $850k in today's money adjusted for inflation. guy was talking about how making your first $1 mil is the hardest part of making money...

There's about 5 supermarkets in the area and I can already see 2 of them closing due to sheer volume of increased theft because those ones are barely holding on financially even without the new facility

seattle has tried this shit before, it ended up with transients hanging around outside the building in downtown seattle screaming at every hour of the day then those screamers trigger other screamers who start having an episode and I avoided those places like he plague

upon hearing it I congratulated him, wished him good luck with the position and commented how nice it was for him to get the job he wanted with almost a 100% pay bump. Inside I was dying knowing that I've been applying for other positions for so long I don't even know if I'm hireable anymore.

tested out music coming from laptop speakers that was fluctuating at 56b-66db, I went outside the enclosure and closed the enclosure door and the sound level was around 28db-48db.
comment in response to post
whisper rooms only manage to cut down sound about 30 dbs anyways so considering that whole enclosure cost about $750 including shipping compared to the around $7k-$12k that I would need to pay for an Isolation pod I think I found a decent middle ground.
comment in response to post
honestly it worked about as much as I thought it would, around 20dbs of sound dampening. Keep in mind that the enclosure isn't air tight and I left it that way because I would suffocate in there with no airflow and 2 laptops + 1 monitor. If I did make it more airtight I could cut down sound more

When the new guy used to play music I noised the drum shields actually dampened the music a lot because the places I had the drum shield walls had sound dampened while the places that weren't covered the guys music sounded really loud. So I ordered 7 more drum shields so I can completely enclose.

You know how you know when an IT person is bad at their job? It's when they don't have the ability to google things or read through documentation / SOPs. They don't even have to be smart, they just have to be able to pull up references to complete their tasks
