Thatās so true. Everyone wants to be us until itās time to be us. We are the blueprint and never forget that. Just encourage the next. Thatās how we keep on keeping on. By uplifting one another, through kind words and engagement.

I can feel the strength emanating from your words, Itās so important to talk so candidly about the society weāre in. My heart although heavy is lightened through this exchange, our community bears the weight of this society upon all of our backs.

Youāre very welcome. I look at US and say if it wasnāt for US you wouldnāt have⦠So put some some respect on my name.. literally. Our names have meanings. We have a language amongst ourselves that they will never have. Our cultures have meshed and mixes to create even more flavor.

Growing up, while Disney, Nick and every other network was preaching ābe yourselfā our parents had to sit us down and explain that if we didnāt fit in and act like THEM we wouldnāt make it, we had to understand what it meant toābe a statisticā as a CHILD, yet weāre supposed to be quiet and thankful?

Iām supposed to accept being viewed as lesser then? To accept having to constantly keep any negative emotions private because as soon as theyāre released in public im labeled as ādangerousā and āaggressiveā? I have to simply accept it when I see my community being spit upon and disrespected? EXPLODE

This partially why the world sucks. You want a woman who is naive enough not to challenge you even tho YOU know you don't know everything. That's ego. You want your lady inferior because you are. Loser.

Loved this one. Itās emotional but it made me feel connected to my ancestors in the Caribbean who experienced the slave trade. Highly recommend.
