My wife is going through our Pokémon cards to clean out things for rotation and keeps sending me little eulogies of the ones we'll miss lol. That said, I'm so ready for lost zone to go away; cramorant can spit in hell.

A few more photos of the denim checker dress I made!

Finished my birthday dress! Pattern is the Juniper dress by @tiana-herring.bsky.social - I really loved sewing this one! It's a great pattern and felt refreshing to sew something that felt like fat people were in mind from the jump lol. This is gonna be in my heavy rotation for sure!

news in america: you will have to drink shit in water. we are going to end education. we will deport you for having the wrong opinion news in any other country:

Adventures in sewing: I cut out all my pattern pieces, and then realized as I was marking notches that I accidentally cut another front piece on the fold instead of cutting a back piece. Normally this would be something I would roll with, but there is a collar on the dress...

How tf do you claim to spiritually interact with the earth, or anything, yet open your arms to destruction of public lands, social services, and vulnerable communities?

Stumbled onto a TikTok thread where a bunch of new age spiritual white women are talking about being "feral and excited" for the impending change and "timeline shift" and I'm just like what fucking Kool aid is going around??! Ugh like wtf do you mean your angels are aligned and your vibration tuned?

The silver lining of joann's closing permanently is that pretty much all of my craft materials will now either be secondhand (which was like 75% of my stash anyway) or will be sourced from smaller/local sellers.

It's very satisfying to me that all of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe end up being things I have made. It's doubly satisfying to make things that can be layered and worn together multiple ways over different seasons.

We've been saving this little pup for when we thought you all might really need a gold star. And, given the current circumstances, here she is. 13/10

A mood

EVERY DEM SHOULDVE WALKED OUT WITH AL GREEN!

Me leaving the house for the first time after a week with covid

While I enjoyed the simplicity of knitting 🧶 the afterthought heel, I find that after 1 wash I'm noticing some gaps and things beginning to unravel at the join. I did my best to secure them well and also weave in the ends well; does anyone have advice on reinforcing or improving the steadfastness?

Finally well enough to share some photos of my finished blouse design! This is the first knitting pattern 🧶 I have created entirely by myself from measurements. I hope to make a few more samples and eventually make this a graded pattern. Designing and knitting the sample took about a month.

Added 5 stripes to my knit 🧶 book snake for February

When Bianca whipped Liv with her hair and left that welt, my wife said "what, does she have batteries in her braid or something?" 🤣 We wanna know

First season watching wrestling and I'm very ready for the women's elimination chamber

Turned on tonight's wrestling elimination chamber (in Toronto) and it was incredible to watch the arena boo the American national anthem, and absolutely erupt in cheers and thunderous applause and sing the Canadian anthem in unison. And then they chanted CANADA! We cheered with them!

The Dept. of Homeland Security has quietly opened the door for a witch hunt--changing rules to allow officials to subject people to surveillance based only on the suspicion that they might be queer or trans. www.advocate.com/politics/dhs...

This scrum of pot-bellied, sunken-chested betas trying to bully an all-black clad badass Eastern European wasteland survivor while dressed like Men’s Wearhouse mannequins is peak cinema.

Spending my time while bedridden trying to catch up on as much reading as possible. Finished A Dowry in Blood by S.T Gibson yesterday, and I've picked back up with The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black.

Words to live by

Ugh, suffering COVID body aches and I still can't knit more than 10 mins at a time without pain. All I've done is sleep and cry today

good new coping skill unlocked: "If you're ever feeling down on yourself, think of all the nice things Steve Irwin would say about you if you were a little lizard and he found you sunning yourself on a rock." - thanks internet!
