Labours gall Slamming reform on Social Insurance for medical care while they been plotting it for years so deflection wont wash

The Governments unfair premise for cuts is: Those looking for work get less than those who do not have too, well that's because those in work or looking, are fit enough to work or return to work , those who are unable to work cant boost their incomes you fuckwits!

Reeves needs to back up and Labour Backbenchers need to step up and defend disabled from harsh cuts. When the Job market is falling You work for Us, not other way around

Stop complaining and get typing those emails to your MP no matter what party they belong too. You don't even have to leave the house! Tell them straight they will not get your Vote, if they vote for more cuts to the social security of disabled people . www.writetothem.com

All talk ,No action from Labour who are wanting to introduce a Two Tier American Healthcare and social security system into the UK via UNUM Provident Insurance. NO room for excuses or abstaining- vote against the Cuts or find yourselves out of a job

Labour Traitors will be gone soon enough blueannoyed.wordpress.com/2025/03/09/l...

Labour will already have the actors ready for their 'I'm severely disabled, cant walk and have trouble holding anything but I just got a job as a hod carrier on a building site. I'm so grateful to Labour for making this opportunity available to me' You all know how it goes. Jen Wood on X.

Recommend a listen to these sharp, powerful and timely interviews with disabled people and others dealing with housing probs and social security cuts, by the always excellent Kate Belgrave. Do get in touch with Kate if you have housing/benefits issues you'd like to discuss with her:

Opposing the removal of £6 billion from disabled people and some of the most vulnerable in society isn’t about being left or right—inside or outside Labour. It’s about basic decency.

Reliable source at the highest possible level has just told me huge increase in calls to suicide helplines because of the threatened benefits cuts.

I hope they’re not coming for Access to Work. It’s helped so many people I know have… well, access to work. That includes: - Specialist equipment - Help with transport - ADHD coaching - Personal assistants Cutting it would push disabled folk OUT of work: tinyurl.com/5c8hjz3n

Today’s about Chancellor’s plans for growth. But new @jrf-uk.bsky.social research confirms growth won’t solve appalling levels of hunger & hardship @trusselluk.bsky.social sees everyday across UK. We need urgent action - Universal Credit covering cost of life’s essentials & lifting 2 child limit.

Reeves to give speech on Wednesday as she doubles down on cuts agenda

@jujuliagrace.bsky.social “The new government should not be kicking the can down the road with the social care crisis, creating yet another lengthy commission, another delay, another period of unnecessary suffering for millions of people. “ open.substack.com/pub/jujuliag...

UK Gov will use Financial Privilege to ram through Welfare Reforms as previous administrations have done, They do not give a damn about the harms they cause to millions. They will when we vote them out when the opportunity arises-if they still alive! #ActionNotWords #NoBenefitCuts #DignityandRespect

Rising UK State Pension age will push more dying people into poverty. Ageing people suffer ill health due to low wages, poor food, housing, healthcare but can't retire. 92,000, mostly poor, die before getting pension. More will die as pension age rises. www.mariecurie.org.uk/blog/rising-...

Benefit cheats could be stripped of driving licences. Someone innocently exceeding the Carer's earning limit is charged with fraud, can't drive, many not be able to work, can't support family, needs more benefits. Hawks are appeased No equivalent sanctions for tax abusers, launderers, real crooks

For anyone who missed it: Spending Review will be announced to Parliament on 11th June.

HMRC denies running a "deliberately poor" phone service to push taxpayers to seek help online instead. 44,000 customers cut off without warning after being on hold for 70 minutes last yr, even worse now. So, wrong taxes paid, little people prosecuted and fined. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Remember when reading this: 1) PIP fraud is 0.2%, 2) supposed fraud is v often someone isolated not being able to understand the incredibly complicated benefits system, 3) the DWP are always falsely convicting people cf the Post Office scandal. Yet no car=deprivation of liberty!

How will Labour reduce the welfare bill?💷 We’ll ask Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall tonight 💻 LIVE 9PM online 📺 1045PM on ITV #Peston

A striking graphic, tweeted by Professor John Tomaney and taken from a Joseph Rowntree Foundation report encapsulates North East England’s mental health crisis. The data from 2020 shows that of the ten areas of England with the highest antidepressant use, seven are located in the North East.

@matildamartin.bsky.social exc: Trouble's potentially brewing for gov over teacher pay The largest teachers union is to ballot members on possible strike action over the "inadequate" 2.8% offer "It does not recognise the hard work that you do... it will not keep our teachers in our schools..."

No one wants Physicians Assistants, not patients, not doctors. How much money has to be wasted, how many mistakes have to be made before this is stopped. We have drs without specialist posts, unemployed GPs for crying out loud.

Happy New Year everyone hope you all had a nice safe festive season. Now I guess its back the grind of poverty and fighting the corrupt

NEW: Strong evidence has emerged that the DWP hid the true reasons for its planned cuts to disability benefits Documents disclosed in a legal challenge also suggest up to 100,000 disabled people could be pushed into poverty by the changes By me, for @bigissue.com www.bigissue.com/news/social-...

New unpublished research has exposed the impact of “shocking and eye-opening” levels of bullying and systematic mistakes on disabled people forced to rely on the universal credit working-age benefits system.

The climate of fear for benefit claimants is all too real. It's deliberate policy to make claimants live's as hellish as possible. A claimant coming off benefits regardless of whether into work or falling through the net. Is a good outcome for DWP. Even if some of those claimants end up dead.

A key treatment that ministers have placed at the heart of their strategy for pushing people with mental distress and ill-health into paid work has only a tiny impact on the probability of them securing jobs, government figures have shown.

Another Loss for the useless LP

Yes we don't need 'inspiration poverty porn' and they are going to repeat it over Christmas with another young man with prosthetic legs dancing. Not taking away his achievements in doing so, but the gov messaging behind it peddled by the BBC is galling. 54% of disabled ppl 'DO' work Liz Kendall

MPs must focus on what drives homelessness, not just "the emergency", the co-founder of the Big Issue told PoliticsHome podcast The Rundown Lord John Bird said an "obsession" with the short-term is what prompted him to walk out of a committee session about the issue last month
