Sad, as I count oratory skill as the apex need in politics - to be able to craft a perfect sentence for a plural audience and convey correctly different nuanced messages to each audience segment.

He probably meant “you can’t shoot values (as bullets)”, but I heard “you can’t shoot values (with bullets)”.

Interesting comment. “You can’t shoot values”. I think Hesgeth meant to demean values as a reference point, but if you think harder: values cannot be threatened by violence. The more violence enacted on a people, the tighter they hold to their values. Values are immutable and should be the measure.

Draft content, “Foresee the scenario that a hostile takeover by adversarial nefarious authorities occurs. What is your prescribed response? Will you ash records? Will you enact an encryption auto-lock and if so how will you plausibly deny it exists? How will you protect your human participants?”

It’s an illegal gesture in Australia isn’t it? Love to see how that might play out.

Alarming. The language is hateful and unfactual. Very unlike a financial news journal.

The natural consequences of a society embracing “the rules don’t apply to me”. Best of luck, world, you’re going to need it.

Very interesting question. I was contemplating that there are offensive (violent) and inoffensive (non-violent) endogroups. Still a group formed as a defensive mechanism, with an identified “opposite”. Eg: Rosenberg’s NVC that I subscribe to may be a non-violent endogroup?

If he was charged, he was charged with grooming, not alleged grooming. A charge implies the grooming is alleged, until convicted. But the charge relates to named crime. “Alleged murder” is not a crime. Murder is a crime. You are charged with the crime, not the alleged crime. 🙄

You have to untangle the question of “employer” though. An employer is a benefactor willing to give value tokens (cash) to a person for providing attributes or actions. Others may benefit or suffer through those attributes or actions but they’re not included in the payment path. The employer rules.

You could use etherium or similar to construct it. Idea was to manage transactions by reference to declarations of worth. I declare a person to be of some worth, then another person gives them goods or services based on reference to that declaration of worth. How that system “leaks” is unsolved.

I’ve pondered this question of trading on personal “value” rather than cash retention. Small grains of trading seem feasible. Large grains seem harder. It still ends up looking like a needing a token to represent value, like a cash system.

I previously commented that the nuclear policy is just a flag to follow. A banner to rally the faithful and sway the confused. Its goal is not to reduce prices, it’s to get Libs re-elected. It’s a focus point to gather the Right behind. A war cry. A slogan. “It’s time”. Nothing more.

A statement that also applies to the Kiwi Finns.

Favourite tale. At Oils gig 1997. Inebriate in the mosh pit calls out “play Khe Sanh!” to PG, PG: “poor thing doesn’t even know who she’s come to see”. Dare you to get super drunk and call out “play US Forces!”

Israel needs to provide evidence that’s true. Real aid workers need some kind of assurance that Israel is able to distinguish between aid workers and fakes. There’s no evidence that the people in the last Kitchen car were fake.

The Finns know what they’re doing.

I strongly suspect qualities unique to Finland make this approach work particularly well...not least stellar education system/ high literacy rate. But early intro of critical thinking skills (disinfo specific) is bound to help. Information is the battle-ground for the future of democracy.
