Join your local ACLU affiliate, which offers specialized training, volunteer opportunities and other resources.

Show up at their local congressional offices, contact your local media outlets, reach out to health care groups, bring your stories of how the cuts would affect you, join advocacy groups. Flood your reps social media accounts.
Be loud and don’t back down. Let them feel the heat!

I’m only spending money on groceries (buying from local stores) and gas. That’s it!

I worked for a declining industry that slashed jobs every six months. It was like an ongoing episode of Survivor. We’d debate who would get axed next. Those who remained got heavier and heavier workloads, less pay and fewer benefits (regular cuts), and the stress level destroyed so many people. 😥
