Rep. Williams has the strongest and clearest response to the DOGE phishing attack:

I think there should be more talk about: "Of course, he won. One dude put almost $45,000,000,00 behind electing him, and all of the biggest media outlets in America tacitly endorsed him by normalizing his authoritarianism." Anger about one dude stealing what we've all built can neutralize despair.

Trump has a weird way of celebrating Black History Month.

in the trump administration, “merit” is pronounced “white” like how strom thrumond said it.

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story. Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver. This is what "merit" means to them. apnews.com/article/trum...

New in PN: AOC shows how to fight back and stand strong "Prominent figures standing up can undermine the climate of fear that MAGA relies on to impose terror. AOC’s work on behalf of her constituents and refusal to be intimidated are models of resistance other Democrats would do well to imitate."

True

True. But they also sold out their country, too.

Crockett: He went from being the dork that was jumping around on stage to allegedly being this amazing genius that's gonna save a country he wasn't born in, and one that maybe he doesn't agree w/the idea of a democratic republic, considering the fact he may have been more on the side of apartheid.

Crockett: "It's just that they're idiots. These are the same guys as it relates to our nuclear stockpile, they're like, 'Oh, wait a minute, we needed those guys? Can we get them back? Oh, we don't know how to.' I don't know how anyone can look at this administration & feel a semblance of confidence"

This.

Correct.

Most of the people quoted here *are Republicans* afraid of death threats *from their own party leader.* www.vanityfair.com/news/story/t...

I'm normally cynical about politicians but this is statesmanship. It is affirming republican civic virtue. Not irony-poisoned snark, not focus-grouped talking points. The oath to the Constitution matters, and it's time to speak plainly and earnestly about how our fundamental principles are at stake.

Hurricane, who was a Special Operations Canine for the Secret Service, became the most decorated dog in U.S. history. He died this week at the age of 16.

If I posted on here every time the president did I something that sucks ass I wouldn’t be able to hold down a job

Trump went to the South this weekend. Not to visit flood victims in Kentucky, but to have his security drive him around a race track. He doesn’t give a shit about you or your needs. He’s on a vanity tour for the next four years.

Every single headline screaming “congestion pricing is dead!!!” is making me lose it.

After publishing this story, which features a picture of the protest at Children's National in DC, I have been informed that moments ago, Childrens National in DC has resumed transgender care. The hospital protests worked! Keep doing them!

What a shame. Teamsters deserve better than this.

What the actual fuck?! America, it’s time to rise. When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty!

The official White House account just referred to Trump as a “king” and posted an image with a crown on his head. They’re not even hiding it.

Good idea, now seems like a good time.

Oh, seems normal.

Put aside the nastiness of this post, & the way in he attacks Zelenskyy as a dictator but says not a word about his pal Putin, & just focus on the way it is written: would you hire this weird person to work for you? Would you trust this odd person to teach your kid in school?

Jim Acosta: I think the AP should consider whether or not to sue the administration… and the rest of the press corps should start seriously considering whether it’s worth sending everyone into the Oval Office, onto Air Force One, or into the briefing room.

hey did you know you can usually buy basically any book ever printed secondhand from a seller on ebay and never have to deal with amazon ever again

Congrats, America. We're now on Putin's side.

It’s extra important for your GOP senator to hear from you right now if you’re in one of these states. Call your senators and tell them to vote NO on Kash Patel’s nomination for FBI director: indivisible.org/resource/cal... Or send an email to your senators: act.indivisible.org/sign/demand-...

Keep calling Tillis and Budd about opposing Kash Patel! I know Tillis is in love with him, but our senators are finally admitting they're hearing from us, so don't stop!

New in PN: Unelected billionaire breaks laws to "restore" democracy "In reality, most of what Musk is up to is flatly illegal. Most egregiously, his deletion of entire depts & Trump’s refusal to spend as directed by Congress violates the Constitution. That’s why multiple courts have enjoined them."

above all else the current crop of republicans in congress are the most pathetic cowards to ever serve in washington www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Said Zelensky: “Unfortunately, President Trump – I have great respect for him as a leader of a nation that we have great respect for, the American people who always support us – unfortunately lives in this disinformation space.”

Trump is a criminal. Therefore, no one should be surprised that the corrupt, serial lying conman sided with murderous dictator Putin — blaming Ukraine and Zelensky for starting the war with Russia. What the loathsome piece of shit is doing is next level gaslighting. 😳

Resistance isn’t futile, it’s necessary.

For the last two days, Sean Duffy has been blaming Pete Buttigieg, Joe Biden, the Democrats, and anyone else he can think of for the fact that under *HIS* watch, planes are crashing on a near-daily basis. Maybe fewer joyrides to the Daytona 500 and a little more attention paid to transportation.

elderly man with delusions of grandeur declares himself king

Our country is literally fucked.

Planes are crashing because Trump and Musk wanted to cut their own taxes even more. Say it over and over and over again until it sinks into people's brains and they correctly associate every crash with two billionaires who never fly commercial.

This is why the Tesla boycott/divestment strategy can work where others have failed. If we can move Tesla stock, we can wipe out a huge amount (if not all) of Elon Musk's wealth. This opportunity is too important not to pursue all-out. #TeslaTakedown

💯 correct

Fox News host John Roberts: "If you're gonna trust anybody with rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse, wouldn't you want it to be a guy who really doesn't need your money?" (Rich people, famous for not wanting more money ... )

Our president is directly and arbitrarily screwing over thousands of Americans. He's also screwing over entire communities and endangering our shared legacy. The ultimate goal, I wager, is to privatize national parks, the weather service, NASA, etc, and further enrich his cronies. You gonna let him?

He’s a whiney bitch straight up

The right can accept Elon having 13 kids from 15 different mothers, but having two Republican daddies is just an unsustainable situation. Democrats must frame this billionaire takeover now as the source of coming horrors. New from me in @gilduran.com and @george-lakoff.com's Framelab.

On Monday, thousands of protesters across the country hit the streets to tell Donald Trump and Elon Musk “No kings on Presidents’ Day” in response to the barrage of alarming actions—from legally questionable executive orders to mass firings—taken by the administration since the inauguration.
