Cos hate them or not, we need them on our side to fight back with any realistic chance. You seem a little more in love with the status of being seen as "correct" though.

one of the things that gets centrists on board is open defiance of the law, as opposed to the "plausible deniability" shit they're doing right now. The main way to force that is to use the courts, to where Justice Department officials are held in contempt and Bondi stops the Marshals.

Chris has never said it was *the* solution. He's been screaming at Dem politicians for not doing anything.
But if you'd rather argue with strawman, so be it.

You're literally screaming at a dude (Aaron) who was begging people to pay attention to what is happening while making sure they understood why it was fucked up (because ILLEGAL), but yknow, I guess outrage bait is more important.

You responded directly to *my* post, quoted the phrase "doomerism", which only I said, and used the phrase "your institution". Gee, I wonder why I thought you were talking to me, you complete fucking moron.
Don't blame me for your inability to write coherently. I know Aaron's a lawyer, fuckstain.

One, presupposing that the truth lies inherently in the middle of two opposing sides is an example of the "argument to moderation" logical fallacy.
Second, what is usually presented as the "middle path" still harms one group more than the other, and I think you know which one

The fuck is this supposed to mean? I'm not a lawyer. And I'm not rich. I just filed Chapter 7. I take care of my 71 year old mother financially.
Idk why everything turns into a hardship or virtue competition on social media

Important to actually know what the law IS. Which is what Aaron is doing.
P.S. lawyers for the DOJ could be disbarred if they are found to be knowingly making bad faith statements in court. And there is nothing Trump could do to stop it. You can't pardon disbarment.

hat. To finally be put in a corner where they can do nothing but comply or openly admit, without any plausible deniability, that they operate outside the law, that they are the law. So even if judges find themselves unable to enforce laws - it's important to still use the legal system. And it's

It will take forever to unwind in court. This fires up political junkies like us, but the average non-voter or low info voter, this looks like "garden variety political squabbling".
We need these people if we want to fight back. How we get these people is forcing the government to wear the fascist

But they have been following many court orders where it simply isn't possible to hide it. People who have been unlawfully termed, then restored, have reported that they did get their jobs back, for example. Others, like USAID, have continued to not pay people using invalid reasoning, knowing

were as this would result in many more people taking to the streets. They're doing the illegal things they're doing via plausible deniability, i.e. attempting to find ways to comply by using "alternative" interpretations of the law as a shield. Make no mistake...they are still breaking the law.

(conveniently, for doomers) unfalsifiable until then.
Aaron is not saying "don't worry". His posts are filled with worry! But you're fundamentally misunderstanding how Trump's admin works.
They are not openly defying court orders in the conventional sense. It would almost be preferable I'd they

They can, actually, the issue is the vehicle they use (Marshals) falling under the Executive Branch. And Bondi being likely to forbid them from taking action. However, there are other creative options judges can take. However, we haven't had a single contempt order filed yet so this is

comment in response to

Yeah but there has been zero evidence of the courts rolling over for Trump. It doesn't help to post "it's already over" doomerism and if you're to actually protest the illegal things the government does, you have to...actually know they're illegal. That's why it's important for Aaron to say it.

Doomerism is silly since and leads to no productive action. Moreover it depends on a very naive idea - that there is an endpoint to history. There is not. Things just get better or worse with time - dependent largely on whether we take practical actions to make them better...or whether we don't.
