I knew it's just a matter of time until Elon Musk get the MAGA base to take pity on him and buy his Tesla cars. He is a chameleon. Over the last 10+ years he change personas to attract new markets. Don't trust him.

I homeschool through a charter school, and there are lots of good resources out there that range from affordable to expensive. I wouldn't say great; they are not perfect. You just have to understand that you make the curriculums fit your family's needs and values, not the other way around.

That's not fair. Taking away from public education is an attempt to make our children MAGA.

I imagine being a lone adult in a classroom of 30 students isn't easy; and making transitions is hard, so classroom management is needed to keep kids and things in order. I homeschool a 6 year old with a toddler on the side, and we try to keep up with the state standards. It's a lot of work.

Do you remember that one time Trump had a casino? Or that one time Trump had a university? Now, he could add the US economy to his "1,000+ Things to Crash/Destroy/Ruin/Bankrupt Before I Die" list.

What Trump is doing is anti-American by punishing an international student for speaking up on behalf of an ethnic group being suppressed. And from what I understand, international students do have first amendment rights.

That's so tough. I could relate. I grew up in a religious environment (both at home and public school). I was one of those girls saving ahem themselves til marriage. And when I was living on my own and going to uni, it was a hard transition, and I Iearned that I wasn't being authentic to myself.

I think being a trad wife is like going through a phrase for some women, just like how I've got caught into idea of being a crunchy mom and went through a phrase of eating all organic and cooking food from scratch until I burned out after having my second child.

The only person I see who is showing traits of good leadership is Zelensky. He managed to stay stoic during a Trump/Vance tantrum. πŸ‘ English may not be his first language but Trump should be ashamed for not understanding Zelensky use of the word "feel" in the context of what Zelensky said. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

I still eat meat. But only a few times a week. I try to eat organic, pasture raised, or grass fed but it is too expensive nowadays.

I'm reading Dr Ornish's Undo It... so I'm making a transition to plant-based in attempt to reverse a health condition. 🀞 I did keto/if a few years ago, had success losing weight, but it doesn't fit current lifestyle and budget.

YEAH, I want to bug my local museum about it now. They have these decolonizing initiatives still using terms BIPOC and POC.
comment in response to post
I understand the cons of using the term POC because it creates this us vs them. I like the term ALAANA but it leaves out groups like Aboriginal Australians, Polynesians, and Greenlandic Inuits.

I had no idea SEA was like that. . . Is Secular and Decolonized Curriculum group available on Reddit or somewhere not Facebook or IG?

Hahaha the man with amnesia probably has friends and relatives who didn't know who Kamala Harris was until Election Day.

I felt guilty since I was spreading misinformation πŸ˜‚, but we were on school break and I wanted to see him behaving his best and I really wanted a picture of the kids with Santa but no luck in 2024. Again.

If you figure it out, could you tell me please? I haven't figured it out yet...

Oh wow, you're lucky. My experience with my local free little libraries are: the books are in worse conditions than those in the thrift stores. 😬 Occasionally I try to get books from Thriftbooks, so I can avoid Amazon.
comment in response to post
I gave up thrifting when thrift stores in my city began to charge similar prices to discount stores 2-3 years ago. I'm lucky that some libraries still charge a dollar or two for many of their books at the Friends of the Library. Don't know if this the same for you?
