Again, take this with a grain of salt. I plan to add to the data if I gain access to more issues of the magazine.

But…I did come up with some results. Take them with a grain of salt given the limitations previously noted.

As noted, this was definitely too large and complex a project - and my data set was somewhat limited by the magazines I had on hand or could find online.

Feels like rejection of the right for trans people to exist in the world is, in fact, gender ideology of a particularly cruel variety

Each season is three books, but these seasons create natural jumping in and out points for readers intimidated by the labyrinthine whole.

I read Mystery ad well as Romance, but I tend not to gravitate toward Mysteries with Romance. To me, it’s just not the job of Mystery beyond the lightest subplot.

“My hot 6’6” new boss is so grumpy. I find him staring intensely at me throughout the day. Obviously he hates me because I am so full of sunshine, I think as I pull my golden hair into a high ponytail and narrow my flashing green eyes.”

I am so impressed that so many people remember this so clearly. I need to start taking memory supplements

What? You’re saying his grumpiness was just his innate awkwardness in communicating with a woman he’s secretly in love with? I am shocked! 🤬

Both heroes are completely besotted and utterly unable to handle it.

In both, the heroes struggle with their attraction to the heroine and try to push them away by providing TMI about their checkered pasts.

Both feature heroines who come from respectable, if unassuming, backgrounds who come to London and find themselves placed in the orbit of these powerful men who both attract and repel them.
comment in response to post
Both feature low-born heroes who have had to struggle to attain a place of power.

Though the books were written 30 years apart, they explore a lot of the same themes.

Curricles- BlueSky is flummoxed by even the word

Embrace the painless learning through fiction (as my friend calls it)! It’s great. You don’t have to do anything except sit back and enjoy a sexy story about two beautiful idiots falling in love to flummox your friends with knowledge of cirri Les and teams of four

So you’re saying that things may have happened in the world of Romance of which I, who picked up my first Romance 5 minutes ago, may be unaware? That’s simply not possible.
