I've switched to HardCover...which has the same feel as Goodreads - but it works far better and the interface is more attractive. You can access either by website or phone app. hardcover.app

After having to 'translate' legalese for clients a few times after I entered practice, I systematically worked through the form library to incorporate plain English. "Further affiant sayeth naught" was a particular favorite.

When we tried the Lexis AI it was just as bad. "Show me nurse discipline cases about X issue." "Here are attorney discipline cases about not-quite-X-but-close-enough." "That's great, I need nurse discipline cases." "Here are the same attorney discipline cases in a different order."

I've used it to help with outlining the points for my lecture and PowerPoint slides. It's a nice way to leapfrog over the blank page syndrome problem. I then have something I can take apart and rebuild.

I did a dive recently into other search engines. (Perplexity made the cut) I was stunned at how many were based on a Google search index. I need to go back and revisit and compare and contrast search results. It may be there's one that gives a more old style Google result. #SearchEngines

And this I have no suggestions for. Google has become garbage, and it makes me so very sad.

I'm now using Vivaldi as my browser because it allows for more customization. One of the settings I put into place has eliminated the Google AI from appearing. (I think) this is what I did.

This is usually a two step process, isn't it? Court can do the sanction as part of the case... but the judge then usually refers the matter to the disciplinary entity as well. At least that's what I've seen on other cases like this.
