JS has been crushing this off season but this move raises eyebrows. I think JS should have slept on that one. Hoping Kupp proves us wrong though!

Mmm serious questions about this contract AND why we couldn't keep Lockett whose had a better career than Kupp

Jerry should be in a nursing home but instead he's playing with his toys.

So is every team screwed unless they find the next Mahomes or Brady? You just keep rolling the qb draft dice hoping for the jackpot?

True but typically the team has a top defense and special teams along with respectable olines. The team's operated at a high level not just the QB.
Also Rodgers, Lamar, Allen many others had MVP seasons without making the SB.
I'm not saying to ignore those elite guys, just that others do win too

You saying team's are winning SBs with just a QB, mediocre defense and almost no run game?
comment in response to
post
It's interesting how this can be interpreted as the QB is average dragging down the team or the team is average hindering the QB. I think it's a team sport and Geno is talented enough to win with. You don't see unbalanced teams winning SBs because their QB made it happen.

Yup! Turns out me being a ride or die Seahawks fan has a giant asterisk.
*Unless Rodgers is on the roaster!

Doesn't this sound like an agent's statement vs the team's statement? These leaks are weird

These reports are odd and must be coming from his agent. DK can request anything he wants but he doesn't have any power in what happens.

Also how many QBs that win MVPs don't make a Superbowl?
It's almost like it's a team sport and winning makes everyone look elite.

I don't think there's another guy available that can play at Geno's level. Certainly not behind our oline like he did.

Lockett we saw coming so was able to brace for that. So Geno was most shocking and hurt the most. QBs are much harder to find than WRs these days

Even with Lockett and Metcalf gone using a 1st pick doesn't make sense for the Seahawks unless there's a Lamb/Jefferson type player still around. With JSN we need a WR2 which can easily be had in the 2nd, 3rd or later rounds.

Paywall. Sorry Corbin I can't take another subscription, we need an add version

People keep pushing a reset/rebuild. What teams actually do that when has it worked? I don't think that's a reasonable strategy unless you're actually at the bottom of the league.

Yup, for sure. I don't think he has much leverage in picking the team. He wants out, we find a deal we like and ship him.

After recent news I'd like to revert my sentiments on DK and hope he goes to Cleveland or the Titans. Maybe the colts or jaguars

Well after the DK news it's time to run this back!

Is this good or bad?

I hear you with overpaying. Honestly though in football there aren't any cheap decoys. 1000yds a year, with some blocking, and some decoy activities isn't bad.

He made less than $15M each of those years, his contract averaging $24m/yr. He averaged over 1000 yds a season. Plus he blocks a ton and can stretch the defense which our RBs benefit from a lot. He's not perfect but he adds a freaking lot more than just catches and for much less than $30m/yr.

Metcalf (though not dramatically) has out performed Debo in just about every stat.
comment in response to

I think for the Seahawks to move on from Metcalf it'll depend not on what's received from the trade but what the cap space from Metcalfs contract does for the roster. Metcalf still producing amazing numbers Year over year with little timed missed.
comment in response to

It's tempting, sounds light for the Seahawks to me and I think when Kubiak unlocks the running game Metcalfs deep game will take defenses out at the knee's

Musk was able to take full advantage of the EV credits and subsidies to get Tesla off the ground. Now they'll pull the rug out on the competition behind him.

Not sure this is the year to make a QB play. Seems the talent is sparse.
