Better description: "All over the globe, humans are stealing habitat from wild animals and not giving it back. It's just one more sign that human selfishness and greed will end up destroying wildlife permanently."

Hey, NPR: Bats are in serious trouble and it's not just because of wind turbines. Please cover the biodiversity crisis more.

Fox populations are declining due to habitat destruction and other human activities. How about a story on that?

That's nice, eagles are amazing, but we've lost more than 70 percent of our wildlife in 50 years. Can we have a national plan to address biodiversity loss before the sociopaths take over?

Maybe after he takes Greenland, he can move there with all his supporters and change the name to Magaland.

Monsters? He's going after Bigfoot?

The MAGA right wants to keep wrecking the planet to make a few people disgustingly rich. The left wants to build a sustainable future that works for everyone. That's all we need to say.

Compassion is a beautiful thing. But I also wish Christians would focus more on the fact that humans are busy destroying the planet and wildlife. God would not approve.

Let's start by organizing locally, getting out in the streets and off social media.

The earth doesn't has time for this shit. Resist!

No more animal suffering for human greed, pleasure, or any other excuse.

Yes, a more confident communication style would help. But also, focus on vision/core values. The left wants to build a sustainable future that works for everyone (including wildlife). Trumpers want to continue to destroy the planet to make a few people digustingly rich.

Oh, my. He's already had a terrible ear injury and now this.

I don't really care if we destroy ourselves, we deserve it. It's all the other animals I'm worried about.
comment in response to post
Other animals have just as much right to exist on this planet as we do. Humans are bullies. We are destroying nature because we can. If we keep it up, only mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, and rats will be left. Nature first.

I can't read this article, but I'm pretty sure he didn't say a thing about the planet. You know, this place we all live that we are destroying.

Never call it a "pro-life" position. Call it a "forced pregnancy" position.

Animals have rights. We torture them daily in factory farms. They are sentient beings that can feel pain, fear, etc. Meat eating is also playing a huge role in climate change and habitat destruction. Vegetables also taste good.
comment in response to post
The only animal that terrorizes the world is humans. If any other animal is "out of control" it is because humans fucked up the ecosystem.
comment in response to post
Animals have rights. They have a right to basic needs: space, food, companionship. The way humans treat animals in exchange for a sandwich is appalling. In nature, carnivores serve a purpose. They do not put other animals in tiny cages and make them suffer all their lives. That is what is immoral.

I was really hoping they were aliens coming to save us. Sigh. Now I just have to go back to reality: noone is going to save us.

Why are all these walking heart attacks still around?
comment in response to post
I'd worry less about all this capitulation, which just seems cowardly to me, if the planet wasn't in such a dire condition. We need leaders who will fight for a sustainable future. No time to waste.

Light pollution. I'd rather just see the night sky.
comment in response to post
Talk more about the destruction of nature and the planet in order to make a few people disgustingly rich. Talk about building a sustainable future that works for all.

I was thinking Hannibal Lecter for this one.

Does NPR even cover the news anymore? I don't know, I stopped listening.
comment in response to post
Who is that guy on the right? He doesn't look like Elon Musk.
comment in response to post
The environment is screwed, and we can't count on Democrats to save it. They are rolling over for Turmp.
comment in response to post
Yes, the left needs to appeal to the working class, by selling our vision of the future to them, not by becoming more like them. We have the best ideas. We should double down on our core values, not lose our identity. We need to learn from Trump's tactics, not his message (Except the lying).

The Romans weren't facing the destruction of the entire planet.

Let's not be doomed. Let's fight.
