Hello! This is (also) not the profile you're looking for. Sorry, I thought that might be funny... Blue sky needs more content and more official adopters, but it also needs more chat.

Another one taken too young. His autobiography is worth a read.

Thanks for reminding me of the years of Hamble-phobia. (Not!) My mother's childhood creepy doll looked just like her and I always felt it was watching me.

It's a strange World we're living in... Don't let the Nazis get you down.

I've never compiled my own favourite "Top 40", but Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime would certainly be in it. Good to know that The Korgis are still making new music. I must check that out.

Things are better here than at the other place.

Weirdly, I have no recollection of ACE magazine, though I was already buying PCW every week and five or six monthly magazines back then.

Ah yes: The Odyssey. That legendary story about vampires and helicopters. Not!

Meanwhile supermarkets are making huge profits, massively up from a few years ago and their CEO's and other directors are being paid £millions every year.

So true. I know a few of these Muppets.

It wasn't his house.

Those coins! Just wow: astonishing condition for coins over 1000 years old.

And full marks to the director and director of photography. This is just beautifully shot.

10 minutes in and what amazing finds!

Is there somewhere which keeps an archive of these magazines? I've got a sizable collection which I would be happy to donate to any organisation which would preserve them.

Hated by many, I've always quite liked the tracks on this E.P.

Still showing some tour dates as being in 2024. Probably just a typo...

👍 My dad was a bit of a DIY superstar. There wasn't any job which gave him pause. He used to buy me DIY handbooks and tools for Christmas presents when all I really wanted was a games console. TBF the tools and the books have aged much better, but there's still no making up for my lack of skill!

All three essential food groups covered: bacon, chocolate and coffee!

Nice work! I'm currently trying to psyche myself up to changing a tap washer. (My dad would be so ashamed by my ineptitude!)

Hacking those turbo-loaders was almost as much fun as playing some of the games! A memory dump to microdrive and suddenly any game was playable within a few seconds. A shame the microdrive format never caught on for commercial games.

I've never heard of these! Some kind of Speccy clone?

Her fringe is getting increasingly ridiculous. She really should get it trimmed, if only for health and safety reasons!

Quite right too.

That seems about right for me too! Nice analogy. Let's hope 2025 brings us all better times.

I'm looking forward to watching Up Pompeii again.

Add chilli powder/flakes to the bird feed if you don't want the squirrels to eat it.

I would never have guessed that. Impressively deceptive wrapping!

Phew! I wasn't sure I would survive that last hour of 1980's TV unscathed... Luckily #SkyMix warned me in advance!

The plot, such as it was, made very little sense to me. The ending: even less so. The only thing I can say is that I thought it was better than last year's offering, but only because of the absence of singing goblins.

So what was it?

I hate IMAX. Ridiculous over priced tickets, an over sized screen, uncomfortable seats and being constantly distracted by the actors acne and chickenpox scars. No thanks!

You missed Ludwig. Best thing I watched in 2024.

AI and a room full of writers can't make up for a lack of a story. This will end up like Game of Thrones. (Badly)

Fat girl shaming. I passed.

I lasted 10 minutes. It was so bad, I couldn't work out if it was meant to be a comedy or not.
