Gaetz was just re-elected to the House. His resignation is from the 118th Congress. Any vacancy in the 119th Congress doesn't start until members are sworn in on January 3rd. DeSantis can't actually call a special election until Gaetz refuses to take his seat in January.

Did a whole thread over on the hellxite about analyzing the election results, overcorrection based on bad data-reading, and what pundits are getting so wrong about Democratic futures already. Not going to fog up the air here with it, though. Have a look if you're interested: x.com/briancortijo...

People who say that you shouldn’t care who your friends and family vote for—that their votes shouldn’t have an effect on your relationships—have the luxury of their safety or the safety of those they love being impacted by the outcome of an election. It’s privilege of the highest order.

There is, tragically, not enough money in the TTRPG space. Customers cannot support all the creators they would like to. There are too many "must-attend" conventions that absorb resources from fans and companies alike. Prices have been stagnant for years, and few are paid nearly what they are worth.

Not many folks are following me anyway (even fewer than the bird-place), so I'm likely going to start saying some things that might lose me some followers—as if that's even possible. Buckle up.
