It's more than honesty.
Would the Christian farmer vote for a Black Hip Hop singer?
Would a Black Hip Hop singer vote for a Christian farmer?
Like it or not, particularly in local elections, people vote for people they can relate to

A Muslim socialist can win in NYC, but certainly would not win in Iowa. There is an audience for the progressive message in Iowa and Nebraska, but you need to have a messenger that translates the message to language that a christian farmer can relate to. One size does not fit all

The democratic party has always represented a large swath of views. From the very progressive to the fiscally conservative, socially liberal moderates. The real need is for dems to read the room and run candidates that can win in their specific districts.

One of the main reasons I've disassociated myself from all religion.
"It's God's will" and "The Lord works in mysterious ways" are just excuses for one's actions or explanations for their inaction.

Maggie, I wish I knew.
I think that all that any of us can do, at this point, is start to think about how far we're willing to go to save our democracy.

Let's see, they've bought the Presidency, they've bought Congress and the Supreme Court. So they own all three branches of our government. And soon they'll be logging, developing and mining our vast public lands.

Remember when George Bush told us we had to attack Iraq cuz they had WMDs?
Now Trump had to attack Iran cuz they're close to getting a nuke.

And this one of the reasons you're different from the vast majority. You occasionally take the time to notice your followers. Sometimes it can be a little❣️ on bad day. Appreciated!

Never, ever! Don't want anyone deciding who I shouldn't see.
Who would ever block you anyway. You are one of the main reasons I came over here and stayed. I really can't think of a single time I've really disagreed on one of your takes.

2 weeks is what the Trump regime figured to be the amount of time it takes for the media to completely forget he made a statement.

Alas, if only I was 30 years younger, 5 inches taller, had 30 more IQ points, knew how to ski, and wasn't married to the love of my life. 🥰

OMG. When I moved in with my now wife 25 years ago she had that exact parquet in the kitchen and dining room.. Luckily., one day when we were at work, a toilet tank upstairs cracked and ran water into the kitchen all day. "Unfortunately", we had to tear out all of the floor.

I hope Bob Ferguson has a plan for dealing with this when it comes to Washington in full force.

Yes, I marched in Seattle yesterday and I didn't see a single officer along the 2 mile parade route. My husband said, ''Where are the police?''. Here's the explanation.

Last night I was fearing that apathy and hopelessness would be the story of the day. But for the first time in months, I have a warm feeling inside. Or maybe its just the Mex food I had for dinner.

It's like when two school bullies get in a fight. You can't stand either one, but it sure makes you chuckle when they duke it out.
Just the comment about Musk ghosting Mike Johnson warmed my heart and made me laugh out loud.

Ah yes, family. I can say from experience, that if you live long enough, the bad ones will die.
You do feel remorse, but it passes quickly.

On the drive home a light bulb came on. She was from an alcoholic family and she'd done Alanon several times when we were married. So this meet was about either admitting wrongs or making amends. So the reason she had an affair with my daughter's soccer coach was her parents were alcoholics. Got it

15 years ago I got a call from my ex, wanting to meet for coffee. We sat down and she immediately said " I'm so sorry for everything I did, can you forgive me. I told her it was water under the bridge and I had moved on.

It will always be my goal to not do anything for which forgiveness would be required.

I always had a hard time with the forgiveness thing. You did something shitty to me, so I should forgive you so You feel better. Don't think so
Since a divorce 30 years ago, my mantra has been - I don't need to forgive or forget, I just need to move on. (Just don't care anymore)

Actually, no joke, I've been a fan of all things witches since I was a kid. Not quite sure why, but I once had a total stranger approach me and say "I feel a deep, mystical power within you". Hadn't seen her before and never saw her again after that 30 second interaction.
😳
