My most obnoxious and snobbish take is that the US and Canada have ceased to produce urban innovation since the 1960s, and concerning the physical shape of urbanization, are way more conservative and experimentation-averse than anywhere in the world.

This is just so far from the ethos of North America, where almost NO intersections have any kind of transit priority and buses regularly run like 10-15 MINUTES late, not seconds.
(Also we allow cars to turn across walk signals and this is how people die.)

In the month of May I will have spent over $30 on Ubers and every penny of that has been because Pace canβt do the one thing our tax dollars pay Pace to do.

We talk about transit governance reforms and somethingβs going to happen in the next week or two, but weβre still missing what *should* happen: to rally folks around reform, we need to show them what that can mean and what those benefits could be.
Regional rail should be that moonshot.
