Well this is cool!!

In case you didn't know, when you buy a car, you leave it idle for between 90 and 95% of the time you own it. I wonder if there could be a use for a car when it's not being driven? A petrol/diesel car? Nope, you're stuffed mate. And electric car? Let's have a look. youtu.be/OSePcHBt2vA

Solar is quickly outpacing nuclear in China. (This is in TWh of energy - not capacity - and nuclear would flatline if the vertical axis was percentage of electricity.) (hat tip Jesse Peltran on twitter)

Whatever your attitude is to China, there is now no denying they are way, way ahead in renewable energy, battery technology and specifically electric vehicles. Our man Elliot Richards spent some time inside the ultra spacious Zeekr Mix. youtu.be/2pxV-J-oOnI

100%. Elon wasn’t a consideration in our choice to buy a Tesla (6yrs ago now). We don’t plan on selling, I don’t give a fcuk about Elon, but I’m not going to get rid of a good product I enjoy just to spite one person. I’m only hurting myself doing that.

Yesterday I responded to a “Concerned Citizen” who had a go about me writing about “Nazi Cars” in an article (see my last post - it’s about how many solar panels you need to charge an EV) To clarify I used Tesla and other brand cars as examples for calculations. Seeing as the Y is one 🧵

Another 250 electric vehicle chargers are coming for power poles around Australia, in both metro and regional towns. aapnews.aap.com.au/a/okAMGfXGV

America’s USAID foreign aid agency is being dismantled by a group of university-aged tech geeks that were hand-picked by Elon Musk. I have seen the benefit of USAID in developing countries. This is so awful. Musk is an appalling man. www.smh.com.au/world/north-...

Honestly, is anyone still over there? **takes a sneak peek** ….oh :( As someone who actually was excited to have had a post liked by Musk (this was a few years ago mind you), I’m horrified at how many people and orgs I respect still use the platform. Srsly folks, read the room

The data - global sales of EVs increased by 25% in 2024 The @telegraphnews.bsky.social - "European electric car market suffers ‘devastating’ collapse!!!" (sales fell 3% in Europe)

Choice is wrong. In fact the wording of this paragraph implies the writer has done zero research. Not going to post on the place that shall not be named - but if you’re still there, please pass on this message! www.mynrma.com.au/electric-veh...
