There is a reason the President’s party almost always loses lots of seats in off-year elections and it’s not because the out-party dramatically became smarter or better organized in two years.

Should they be doing it on their own even though it directly contradicts Congressional legislation?

This is a blaring warning sign: Republicans are okay with a teen hacker who ran a Russian website accessing your social security payments account. That should alarm into action even the most docile Republican. They do not give a shit because they don't think there will ever be elections again

Was hoping our three would be on the same team. I guess they wanted Sarr and Risacher to be together?

Of course, if they are operating on old trade values instead of Mavs trade values, they won’t have enough to put with Steph and KD to make a difference in this Western conference.

I’m assuming less likely because they want a rim protector now. Sucks for us!

This is so stupid. I bet if given the choice, NBA fans would pick a shorter season by 90% over shorter quarters.

I agree with the resume piece, and definitely “higher profile” from a national perspective. But, ATL in 1991-1992 was bonkers for the Braves, so in the city it felt like an earthquake.

7/ what's going on here. This amounts to a budgetary coup d'etat. Brazenly illegal and unconstitutional. Nothing is more clear in the constitution than that the Congress is in charge of raising money and dictating how it should be spent.

The Q for every member of Congress, above all, is what exactly they plan to do to defend the existence of an independent legislative branch. I believe the courts will eventually act, perhaps sooner than later. In the meantime, I might just put Schoolhouse Rock on repeat outside Grassley's door. /end

2/ I will say I was surprised, because it seemed pretty out of character, when he wrote that recent oped saying all charges against Trump shld simply be dropped because he won the election. But man I don't know. Stick with me here but the high ...

The slowdown in federal health care spending looks especially insane/miraculous if you go back to budget projections pre-‘01 tax cuts.

Bowles isn’t a bad coach but he isn’t good enough to win three playoff games. He lost the Rams playoff game in his first year and I think this one too. I’d still give him a chance if he had a full DC and Liam Cohen.

A Congress that cared about its own institutional powers would not confirm a budget chief whose views are that their constitutional authorities are, in fact, unconstitutional. This is institutional suicide! donmoynihan.substack.com/p/fake-jobs-...
