Because we need humor

I kind of can’t wait but I’ll probably be dead by then anyway.

My major news source these days (apart from @nytimes.com every day on paper). Certainly no TV news (but that’s forever in this country).

Or real estate broker with a slow buyer?

Rally at the Stonewall Memorial to say to the National Parks Service and the current Fascist Government, that there is NO LGB without the T (or Q). We will NOT be erased and we will NOT leave anyone behind! #stonewallwasariot #lgbqtia #translivesmatter #transrightsarehumsnrights

Seriously, how hard would it be for the Senate and House Ds to have a morning joint press conference, 7 days a week, contesting Trump's assault on the US right now? Could be a different Senator and House Member each day. We are in a national emergency right now. Our leaders need to act that way.

Thousands of New Yorkers rising up for Trans Youth! Thank you @abbystein.bsky.social @genderlib.com and ACT UP NY, Transformative Schools, Kolot Chayeinu, @harshbabe.bsky.social and others for organizing and THANK YOU, New York….We WILL NOT stop fighting for one another!

Wednesday is actually the first day the @nytimes.com crossword actually challenges me a little bit…

The Oracle, in her wisdom, and in partnership with Redfin, advised Hercules, “You know, there’s really never a bad time to get on the property ladder.”

Lately I’ve been going through sympathy cards so rapidly I think they should sell them in sets :(

Saw my first corgi of the year today. 🥳

"You know about Mitchell-Lama?" Timothée Chalamet asked the podcaster Theo Von. The conversation that followed led one housing advocate to refer to the 28-year-old actor as "the new housing justice icon."

Four thirty p.m. The sun has set in the sky. Fuck this shit—wine time.

It’s amazing how many people I’ve never met are suddenly “grateful” for me. Useless Thanksgiving e blasts. I don’t even open them.

Someone just described Park Slope as an “up and coming area.” Up and coming to what? From what I see (and the real estate prices) I’d say it’s more “up and gone!”

Deleting all my entries on that other platform so the devil can’t load them into his AI (& also to read what I’d written). So far I could have lived without 2024 (except the earthquake) and 2023.

Shortly after Brexit, economists had to invent a new term - a “de-developing country.” Well the USA has been a de-developing country since Ronald Reagan was elected, I guess they just didn’t notice.

Dr. Oz on Medicaid & Medicare? Sheesh!

FedEx is definitely the least-secure delivery service to me - UPS, DHL, & USPS all leave it outside my apartment. FedEx doesn’t even buzz me when I’m home expressly to await a package & they just dumped one in the lobby, plainly visible from the street.
