As mentioned, it was a pleasure to mostly work traditionally (acrylics) on my upcoming Stomping Ground, as well as the usual tonal sketch! It was my largest painting yet (16x20). The painting has already sold to a generous offer.

"Stomping Ground" new illustration I got to do for the upcoming MTG set, Edge of Eternities! Again, I can't believe I got the chance to paint this same card twice. The idea here is a sort of fault line bursting open. Next up, the traditional components that went into this!

Once again one of my Magic cards reveals while I'm at a Magic con! Isn't it funny that I've illustrated the same card twice now? Anyway, yes there's traditional work for this. More on that once I'm back from the con and can photo stuff properly!

I'll be in the artist section at MagicCon Vegas this weekend, so come say hi! I'll have prints, playmats, slaymats, APs and even some original art with me.

No. Kings. Any would-be Ozymandias deserves their 'works' lying in ruin, forgotten, wild animals pissing on their head.

"Sundial, Dawn Tyrant" illustration painted for MTG: Aetherdrift. The final painting found a home this weekend! I'm very proud of this fella--one of my first illustrations painted in acrylics. Just a color shift and a bit of detail (some requested by AD) difference to what's on the card.

"Pair o' Dice Lost" illustration for MTG: Unfinity. A scene of literal trash for a non-canon set makes a great place for easter eggs as it turns out!

For episode 50 we hung out with Mark Poole, legendary MTG artist, and as usual a kinder guy you couldn't hope to find, always a lovely time. Talked about a lot of aspects of art business, Magic the Gathering and so on, but I guess you'll have to check it out for the details!

All set up for Lilac City Comic here in lovely Spokane! Booth 111 if you're here and want to say hi. 😄

It's been a nice couple months off from conventions, but the rest of the year is heating up! You can find me in Vegas in a couple weeks, and Spokane for Lilac City Comic Con this weekend. Looking forward to seeing folks soon!
