Give folks without original posts a chance. I've posted stuff (both here and twitter) without any engagement, so I rarely do that as I don't like feeling as though I'm just talking to myself.

I'm getting REALLY REALLY tired of these dems who think the repubs are EVER going to play fair or do the right thing.

Well, to be fair, he meant us plebes against each other, not the plebes against the oligarchy.

I lived in South Florida from 1983 to 2003. I saw the horror show coming and life events lined up to where it was worth it for me to return to NYC. I miss January and February weather, but really not much else.

They said Roe wouldn’t get overturned either.

Don’t tell people not to be scared. What are you going to do when tanks roll down the streets collecting marginalized people?

My point was you don’t know what it’s like as a non-American and you say “petition your representatives” as though we hadn’t thought of that before.

I seem to remember lots of cheers surrounding that doctor’s death.
Of course it’s not remotely the same as this.

Because they pay the same monthly premium as we do, but paying for medical services out of pocket is tens of times more expensive.

Because billionaires have net worth, not necessarily a billion dollars. And they don’t use their own dollars to buy things.

That’s because by the time it gets to collections, the agency bought the debt for 1 or 2 cents to the dollar, so anything they get back is profit for them. They’ll let you pay $5 a week for the rest of your life.

Crypto is make believe money with an arbitrary value system, the “mining” of which uses an extraordinary amount of electrical power. If the fabulously wealthy tell you this is worth $100,000, does that make it so?

I’m 63…the first time I ever watched it was last Christmas. I was not impressed. Frankly, it’s more of a GenX movie than a boomer movie. It came out in 1983 and all boomers were adults by then.
