Proud to be a liberal, because I care. Hate Trump & Musk & Canada becomes the 51st state over my dead body. Love nature, pets, and travel. Mostly vegan. Introvert. Hate winter but otherwise, Canada is great and I aim to keep it that way! Elbows Up!

Also agree that it was the NDP’s influence that got us programs we might not otherwise have gotten. I tend to let lean more left than the liberals myself and wish for a basic income program one of these days.

Yes, I totally agree. We need voting reform of some kind as Trudeau originally promised. I believe Carney has mentioned that he would be interested in doing it, but wanted it to be more of a hands off process rather than be seen as putting in his preferred system, so fingers crossed!

Thank goodness Carney one or this plan would’ve gone away completely. We’re about to be off insurance due to retirement so I look forward to being able to use this plan. After all teeth are part of the body! Now do eyes and ears!

That’s a horrifying idea. That’s one of the things. I much prefer about Canada system over the US. Why would we elect judges? In fact, why do they elect sheriffs and DAs in the US? Anyone can win an election but we want the best qualified person to be in the job not the electable one.

I’ve suspected for years that Trump has something on him. He’s just over the top sycophantic, it comes across more like desperation or verging on panic. I think after he announced, he was out after January 6. He was reminded of what Trump has on him. Surely it’s not just being gay.

I really hope he gets pushed out. He’s obviously not going to leave voluntarily since he’s never had a real job. I can’t stand his smarty look or his nasty sneering voice and wish I never had to see or hear from him again.

I was shocked when she lost. I really thought she had the momentum and she certainly was the better candidate by 1000%.

I’m hoping his little stunt today will make any wavering voters choose the non-Trump option, Mark Carney. Most of us absolutely hate him and want nothing to do with being part of the US. We have a much better way of life as Canadians so why would we?

Let’s hope this gives Mark Carney an advantage. Reminding us all that he remains a threat to Canada, and the need to make a smart choice.

So funny! I have identical twin daughters and they would be absolutely horrified to be caught dressing alike and speaking in tandem like that. Most identical twins like to be thought of as separate individuals and stop dressing alike very young, wanting to forge their own identity.

Even if this term wasn’t racially charged, I can’t imagine she’d be OK being called girl by a man. I don’t understand people.

The real question is, why did everyone else attend as if that was a normal inauguration? Good for Michelle.

Unless the explanation is, they don’t care about those who aren’t yet retired who are counting on OAS starting on time in order to fund retirement. Either way that’s an organization. I have no interest in.

We do for sure, but I’m really nervous that we won’t make that smart decision. Fingers crossed!

Wow, as someone who is expecting to retire in the next few years with a newly retired husband, this has absolutely convinced me that this is an organization I do not want to join. How can they possibly think they do better with a conservative government after the last one increased the age of OAS.

That might screw them up! I’m not American and I don’t go there, but if it would help, I’m happy to register as something… cranky old Canadian left-leaning woman?

What’s next? It won’t stop there. A registry for LGBTQ? For people with genetic diseases, learning disabilities, chromosomal abnormalities? This is terrifying. Naziism all over.

It’s terrifying to watch. I’m so glad we have a parliamentary system which is a little more of a barrier to having such an authoritarian takeover. He’s already talking about sending American citizens to the Gulag and El Salvador. My son is going to a game in Buffalo today and I’m nervous.

the ballot (below) by running as ‘independents’ with the obvious purpose being to a) confuse voters; and b) splinter the vote in all directions. 3. Across Canada, they order all Conservative candidates to hide away from local all candidate debates. Disgraceful, dirty, high school level politics. 🍁🙄🍁
