My friend’s Sprocker puppies are three weeks old tomorrow: they are just gorgeous, and obviously I couldn’t resist a snuggle when I was in the kitchen having a cuppa. DM me if you’re looking for a working spaniel (or for agility etc) and I’ll put you in touch (N Herefordshire).

BBC’s Chris Mason calls Farage a “master of storytelling” Maybe the BBC could stop helping him out and tell another story. One about a grifting prejudiced conman who’s wrecked our country with his ‘Breaking Point’ Brexit but has never been held to account for the lies he’s told, the damage he’s done.

Madame Pelicot is the cover. Madame Pelicot is, for many women, the cover. Madame Pelicot's courage is the cover. The rest of us can but applaud and be inspired. @jamieklingler.bsky.social

A fantastic new resource was published recently by the Association of Anaesthetists. 👇👀👇 Comprehensive guidance for senior anaesthetists going through a return-to-work process following a long career break, and for the supervisors, departments and organisations supporting them. Link below ⬇️

We had a lovely rehearsal today for the Edinburgh Clarsach Society “Harps of Gold” concert. And yes, this tune is in it! But the first verse will be sung in Gaelic, by children from the local Gaelic School. Working hard here against the autocorrect, which prefers “Garlic” to “Gaelic”…

I am losing followers fast over on Twitter but not sure I am picking them up here. I am still hunting for friends here. If you see me, please follow and shout your name at me. I love the connections. x

Out for a walk this morning wearing my warm pea coat. Near the river, I went past a builder talking on his phone; as I passed, he looked me up and down, broke off his conversation and without missing a beat said: “Alright mate - just parking your submarine?”

Sharing again now that more people are here. #BookSky #BookClub Of interest to #MedSky folks, but actually everyone who is interested in what makes a community and how we can collectively recover from the adverse events in our lives. @lucygobag.bsky.social is good to follow too.

Hi furrends. We hope you are well. If anyone is looking for a Christmas present for a child, please consider this book: amzn.eu/d/bNcO59W A friend of a friend wrote it and she passed away overnight. Hoping to celebrate her life by trying to get it to do well 💕🐾

#CPR #DNACPR In ordinary dying, the vital organs progressively fail until the heart stops last, when CPR cannot work and should not be done. In cardiac arrest the heart stops first, CPR may restore the circulation before irreparable damage to the brain. @DrLindaDykes

🧵SALT🧵 It's been snowing in the UK and the road gritters are out in force, begging the question: Have you ever wondered where that grit actually COMES from? The answer is more magical, beautiful and fascinating than you probably realised. 1/14
