We need this sort of momentum again. Fascism is not to be debated. It is to be smashed.

A few months ago we had our back yard torn up by machinery installing. The first things that come back after bare earth is usually weeds. Knowing this, I broadcast lawn seed around the area to promote lawn instead of weeds. Its worked, the area has nearly recovered with few weeds.

In 2020, Trump used COVID as an excuse to cut manufacturing standards. While this does lower prices, it also lowers output quality. Personally I prefer products from Japan and Europe; economies that heavily subsidise their manufacturing sector. trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/briefings-st...

Did some mulching in the back garden a few weeks back. Trying to suppress weeds by making it harder for them to germinate. When doing this, its important to try and source landscape supplies that are free from weeds. I know my local composting station makes its product to the Australian Standard.

Fascism is growing more confident by the day. Comrades should get in contact with their local anti-fascist networks. www.news.com.au/national/pol...

Apparently, the Master Builders are against it. What, is their bullying of workers still forcing apprentices out of the industry? Are their poverty wages not enough to sustain apprentices (and they expect us to subsidise their wages bill with a $10,000 grant to every apprentice?

THIS SO FUCKING HARD!

What better day to do Union Paperwork.

So Peter Dutton finally contributes something on the cost of living, and it's $50 lunches for small business owners. Nothing about raising wages or subsidising electricity costs Nothing about tackling price gouging. Just junkets for the boys in business. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01...

Imagine if any Goverment went after the Billionaire Tax avoiders or our Resources royalties with such fever. 🙄🙄🙄 #auspol

If multinational companies operating in Australia paid their fair share of tax, and if just a small portion of that money went to the arts, we could support great cultural institutions and fund our artists to create new work. www.canberratimes.com.au/story/886841...

That the weather divide is about twice as bad as it was in 1820 (before fedualism was abolished in Britain) tells you alot about the injustice of our society. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01...

High prices and an unregulated economy are part of the problem. But the solution for the United States (and the world) is a vibrant trade union movement and a workers party. FOR SOCIALISM, NOT LIBERALISM! www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01...

I think I just got charged for someone to advertise TO ME. Seriously, Zuck?

And that's measured in the shade. The AWU's heat policy would see workers in heat traps now.

The Australian Economy has a serious issue with accepting unskilled workers. Governments are throwing money at training tradespeople, but bosses and customers alike can't resist the lure of cheap Labour. www.news.com.au/finance/smal...

Looks like a nationwide Measles outbreak is coming. One of the cases passed through Melbourne Airport while infectious. I encourage everyone to check their immunisation status, and make sure they and their families have had at least 2 shots of the MMR vaccine. www.ama.com.au/qld/news/Pub...

As per usual, once it was revealed the German market attacker was anti-Islam, pro-Zionist, pro-Israel, the media focussed on his mental instability as the cause, and a wide range of other issues that made him drive his car into a crowd of people. #auspol

The Grampians fire last night spread between 13,000ha to 28,000 overnight in mild southerlies. This is far beyond what any current fire models will predict. Terrifying that this is the start of summer. Thinking of the community at Pomonal, less than a year since they burnt and threatened again.

The author is right; that Dutton is playing a culture war and replacing reasoned debate with knee jerk disinformation. The simple fact he is trying to discredit the CSIRO is evidence of this. But it's not bad advice; it's their conscious strategy. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Australia’s housing affordability crisis is not that difficult to solve: increase supply and lower demand by ending the incentives that treat housing as an investment vehicle rather than someone’s home. Now if only we had a government brave enough to do it.

It's going to be a rough summer. www.abc.net.au/news/2024-12...
