At a certain point you realize that Trump supports Russia’s invasion because Trump is an evil man and it’s as simple as that. This doesn’t help him politically in any way he’s just a piece of shit. Intel sharing costs US nothing material.

damn

NEW: Fresh details on the chaos leading up to the WH ordering the US Army Corps to release billions of gallons of water from 2 CA dams in Jan. Included DOGE reps demanding to “turn on the pumps” themselves at a federal water plant, while getting their picture taken. www.cnn.com/2025/03/07/c...

Trudeau: "I want to speak first directly to the American people. We don't want this. We want to work with you as a friend and ally. We don't want to see you hurt either. But your government has chosen to do this to you. As of this morning, markets are down and inflation is set to rise dramatically."

HEY EVERYONE REMEMBER WHEN TRUMP WAS IMPEACHED FOR DENYING AID TO UKRAINE BECAUSE HE WANTED ZELENSKY TO LIE AND SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT BIDEN AND ZELENKSY WOULDN’T DO IT? Maybe literally one fucking American newspapers could mention this in their, “think pieces,” about what happened yesterday.

saw a reporter post about how trump/vance bullying zelensky is smart bc voter support for ukraine aid is "plummeting." I'm not sure that's how i would describe this graph www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/...

My heart breaks for the millions of Ukrainians who have been betrayed by our traitorous president in his pathetic quest for Putin’s approval. Ukraine’s people have shown immense courage in the face of Russia’s brutal, illegal aggression; they deserve our admiration and support. Trump is a quisling.

The emotions of the Ukrainian ambassador to the US during the emotional dialogue between the presidents…

Like????

Unfuckingbelievable . Shame on everyone who voted for Trump. Shame on all of us for not convincing them not to.

JD Vance is a coward who is afraid of going to Ukraine. I think it’s disrespectful for Vance to use his high office to promote lies and the talking points of our enemies.

Watching Putin’s little stooges try to bully Zelenskyy in our goddamned White House is pretty repulsive.

800 families suddenly and without warning losing a job. And not because of some well thought out plan to reduce costs. No, it isn’t that. It’s simply the whim of a criminal & his henchman bent on destroying the U.S. & terrorizing Americans. www.cnn.com/2025/02/27/p...

JFC. Like, literally, USAID was the counter to the Belt and Road Initiative, and removing it has opened up all sorts of opportunities for China to harm the US.

A friend of mine has a daughter with Down syndrome, and thanks to these programs she recently made the transition from high school and living at home to an internship at a major pharmaceutical company and an apartment of her own. But the techbros think that's all "waste"

Congress is responsible for deciding what should be on the public payroll. Elon Musk’s view of what is “essential” is irrelevant.

I still don’t understand why Democrats would negotiate a budget when the Trump administration claims unilateral authority to cancel any spending it dislikes. As long as congressional Republicans endorse that position, they are not legitimate negotiation partners! An agreement with them has no value!

Disgraceful and appalling

Determined opposition is the phrase of the day. We think of the Nazis as ruling with an iron fist in the areas they controlled, and that was often true. But sometimes when confronted with pushback even they capitulated. Denmark was occupied by the Nazis and its small Jewish population was

This is why the argument that people should stay on X to engage with moderates / apolitical people there falls flat. X is rigged.

Over on X, simple tweets by my colleague Greg Bluestein of the Atlanta Journal Constitution have been blocked. They were nothing but video of a town hall held by Rep. Rich McCormick R-GA where he was asked questions about DOGE

Worse than Munich 1938. When Chamberlain appeased Hitler, Germany had the strongest military on the continent and hadn’t launched a big attack. Now, US has the strongest military on the continent, and Russia is weakened from 3 years of war. This isn’t from fear and hope, it’s helping the aggressor.

This is alarming. Not sure how to solve the collective action problem described there. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/16/u...

JD Vance is actually right -- Russia is not the biggest threat to Europe. What's even bigger as a threat is irresponsible and infantile demagogues running for quick and easy-peasy solutions to matters of war and peace.

Not that anyone cares but a bunch of senior doj officials resigning over a corrupt instruction to drop a case was what triggered the Nixon impeachment, and in the Trump era it's just the 2pm scandal of a random Thursday and every day now has ~3 such scandals that would have ended any prior admin

In a letter where he states he is going to conduct an investigation of AUSAs for following their conscience and refusing to dismiss the case against Eric Adams, Bove quotes Scalia about the danger of politically motivated investigations. (P. 5). Unbelievable chutzpah or lack of self awareness.
