I hate gamers™ so freaking much. So many people lost their jobs today and all gamers want to talk about is a patent on the most overhyped system in existence that doesn't even stop you from making something similar. I swear if I see one more mention of the Nemesis System patent I'll go insane...

Always had mixed feelings about Octopath games, they look nice and I see them being praised all the time, but for me character/companion interactions are one of the most important aspects in JRPGs and when it comes to this OT2 is nowhere near something like Chrono Trigger which is a shame..

It bothers me a lot that so many people compare Avowed to Skyrim when it's actually just Dark Messiah of Might and Magic 2...

This world desperately needs more shorter JRPGs, really enjoyed first two Ys games for how "compact" they are, even though sometimes there was a bit too much backtracking for my liking

Hope this means we are getting new DQIV-DQVI remakes one day too. I was never a big fan of the first trilogy, but DQV is still one of my favourite games and it's a shame that the only readily available version we have is old mobile port (-_-;)

My 2025 in video games so far:

Maybe manifesting works... Literally texted my friend yesterday about wanting to play this game, but realising that it's still not available on PC and today he hits me back with this link and 😬 emoji ಥ‿ಥ

Finally started playing Yakuza/Like a Dragon 3 Love the dialogue so far!

Saw someone linking Eurogamer's article about Lionhead/Fable games development and honestly with all these "anti-woke" clowns running around I really want to see more developers that act like this:

Eurogamer:

The Blood of Dawnwalker seems to fix one of my biggest problems with narrative in open world games by progressing in-game time with each completed quest, so you can't spend 100 days doing sidequests while everything else just stops. And for some reason people online already hate it because of this..

Nintendo Xenoblade Machine recap for 2024 is here! #NintendoSwitch2024

Modern mobile gaming is so funny because what do you mean I have to sit through 20 minutes of shader compilation to play a "lunch break" game 😭

The only game I got this "Black Friday" so far. My backlog got so big over the years that it feels a bit bad spending money on games I won't be able to play for a while, even if the deal is great 🥲

Couldn't agree more with this article. I'm so tired of consoles releas ing in one extremely boring variant and if you want anything else you have to put yourself through the FOMO fest called "Limited Editions". (This is also the reason why GameCube will always be the best console)

One of the most unique looking games of this year had to abandon its art style because gamers™ would call it "too simple and cartoony" which stopped them from even trying the game. We truly live in a horrible time for gaming :/
