Still my favourite Zelda game and I'm totally not biased by it being my first...

Eh, we get plenty of games using patents of big companies and this rarely leads anywhere. I still think that the main reason we don't see similar systems is bc they fit really small amount of games and add nothing but dev time
Even its creators seemingly had troubles implementing it in the WW game

I hope one day people will realize that this system wouldn't work/benefit in 99% of games and this patent doesn't stop you from doing something really similar. Because I'm so tired of everyone acting like them patenting Nemesis killed progress in gaming or something..

To be fair what Garriott talks about kinda stopped being a thing by the next year and even more so in 2000. With more big RPGs releasing, games like Fallout were more separated from games like Diablo. It's just we did a full circle after some time, which I guess bound to happen.

Honestly I was always a bit sad that RPG lost its meaning, especially after 2014~ when levels and equipment got big in every other genre so now everything is an RPG, but ultimately lack the "role play" element
Hope with how popular BG3 is we'll see a comeback of slay/steal/sway RPGs

Spent way too much time in the hospital and playing StreetPass fishing minigame to play everything I wanted, but as far as good games go, it's been a pretty good start of the year

People who paid for the premium edition with 3 day Early Access were asked to restart the game after day one patch since older saves would break the game and introduce progress blockers. This is not me stating an opinion, this was their official statement in the mail :/

In Europe we're getting pretty nothing keychain so I don't even know which one is worse. At least the deskmat looks pretty cool for only 8โฌ more.

I remember hearing rumours about Switch getting Kiwami and fully expected it to be called something like Like a Dragon: (Yakuza) Kiwami since it's a new platform, but it wasn't. So now I'm really interested to see what's gonna happen to eventual Kiwami 3. Will they make naming even more confusing?

Glad to know I'm not the only one who does this. They really should've fully committed to the new branding with 7, instead we got something really half-assed that now makes naming more confusing than ever :/
Especially with Gaiden games

My main problem with the reveal is not the lack of surprise or the console being "same-y". The reveal itself just feels empty, it looks nearly identical to that smell-o-vision meme vid from a few weeks ago. Original Switch reveal was so much more, something I still go back to and re-watch reactions

It's not "instead", they are obviously part of a bigger problem. Without the laws that made firearms so accessible they would never have gotten these kinds of product placement deals. But them accepting these deals is what bad here and we should blame them for this in my opinion.

Yeah, no. I hope they'll drag Activision through it all. If they were willing to take money for gun product placement since it's "the best way to reach new generation" they deserve all the consequences.

We know from Sandy Hook related lawsuit that Activision had secret deals with weapon manufacturers for product placement in CoD because in era where teens don't go to shooting ranges or hunting it's the best way to push real weapons to them. So it's not as simple as blaming "violent video games".

Maybe I'm just hallucinating, but you can kinda see the ports there, right? A bit sad they didn't went with that one patent from a year ago, it would improve cable management A LOT.

It's awful, but at least you can block the videos from appearing there. I wish regular YouTube had this feature because even simple searches like Pokรฉmon or Sonic will give you tonnes of weird fetish content or literal nsfw horror content masking as the kids stuff :/

Yellow is my favourite here, but black is the strong second because it makes the smaller details pop more

A bit sad that it's full 3D now (loved the sprite/polygon mix in previous games and it was the reason I bought the first one), but still really excited for what's to come.

Yeah, especially if you want to play all of them at some point.

I think 4, 6 and 9 are the best entry points. 1-3 barely have any story or well written characters to the point where I kinda recommend skipping them and 7-8 didn't age that well in my opinion and can be a bit overwhelming to start from them nowadays.

They actually posted a teaser for their return a few weeks ago. Coincidentally I just randomly decided to check their social media on that day so it was a nice surprise ๐

3060 for Recommended is pretty good in my opinion, especially with how the game looks, tho obviously depends if it's actually 60/1080 on a system like this.

People crop clips like this themselves (it's actually a pretty cool tool and lets you have chat on screen too), but not letting us see the full clip once "phone version" was made definitely feels like a weird omission :/

Tierkreis was my introduction to the series and for the longest time only Suikoden game I've played and every time I would mention this to fans of the series they would react with the most tragic "Oh..." I have ever heard.
I still like the game tho, but wish English VA/Audio Quality was better

I don't think it's even a hot take, pretty much most people agree that it's a huge improvement when it comes to QoL stuff and removing all the annoying elements of 2. And it looks better too.

I feel like they balanced "gameplay getting stale" thing really well by giving us cool action-y arena moments now and then starting with Episode ~4. So I never actually got bored of it.
