The scenes in the Oval Office today will shame the US for decades. They’ll never be forgotten.
A world leader, fighting for his country against the 21st century’s Nazis, came to the US and was attacked & abused by a gangster regime siding with the fascist invaders.

I realise we must move with the times, but what a travesty to remove so much beauty, all those hushed rooms, a maze of knowledge and academia wiped away for an escalator and open plan hideousness.

All the charm has gone, along with what seems like half of the books. Even the Archives and the microfiche room have gone, to be replaced with long plastic tables and PCs. Thank God Picton library survives in all its Victorian splendour.
