I think it’s very clear that what Spotlight is (in macOS 26) is basically just what Siri would be doing under the hood. This is clearly what their new Siri is and was but they just failed to integrate and refine it all (based on previous reporting)

would have had more time for LLM Siri and would’ve had a much better ecosystem in place for when they launched it. Then LLM Siri would’ve been on-time and they wouldn’t have made a huge flop. But no, they let Wall Street dictate it and that’s what happened. Hopefully they learned their lesson…

the dev SOTU, I was honestly impressed, and a bit sad. I thought, “they should’ve done this last year!”. The way they talked about App Intents and the value propositions of it, not to mention the actual dev features of running the models (re: SOTU). I feel like if they had done this last year they

As someone who started programming by programming iOS apps when Swift 1.0 came out, I went into this years WWDC with a bad outlook. Their anti consumer practices have gotten insane, they’ve been hostile, and after Siri’s flops, I thought this would be the end. Then after watching the keynote and…

When people hear diabetes, they hear T2 diabetes. It’s very frustrating.

Ona different note, the Walmart BG tester is actually really good, like really good, and really cheap. It’s been about a year with this one and still going strong. Strips are of course the main cost but (as you know) if you’re using a CGM it’s not like you’re going through strips that much

The BD ones are supreme but in a pinch the Walmart ones are not half bad, you just have to go through them faster since they dull faster. (I don’t have T1 but my fiancée does and I was around during this same situation)

MCP is definitely the way although it will depend on how/if it can expand outside of the development space. Anthropic sure will be pleased and yelling from the rooftops that they created MCP if it does take off.

Maybe it’s because it’s based on humans which also miss an ungodly amount of critical health conditions. Even obvious ones.

It is interesting that no drone manufacturer has adopted it and I probably wouldn’t have thought about that fact without you mentioning it. Good point!

Good to know, It is fairly new (in spec years) so I can imagine as use cases and needs change the spec could change as well. I think it was primarily designed for more of a higher throughput IoT protocol or city wide Wi-Fi so that impression may have slowed its adoption in drones.

I am genuinely curious, why is 802.11ah still not a very viable option? Is the range still not far enough or do those drones need above the 3-6 Mbps (of the top of my head, it could be 12) of 802.12ah?

She has been on and off the pump recently but has always loved the Tandem (t-slim, not the mobi which doesn’t have a screen/receiver) and Dexcom g7 (now that they’re out). Obviously depends on circumstances but I hope you’re able to get them soon!
comment in response to post
At least you know get more experience with stuff than new T1 kids recently who only get taught pumps (honestly). Timing and lantis suck but it could be worse (at least once you have your *current* ratio under control. (I’m a partner of a T1 and a nanny of T1s not a T1 myself but I’m very involved)

I just rewatched Hudson Hawk after not seeing it since I was a kid and while I get why it wasn’t critically loved but it was still truly enjoyable. It definitely deserves to be on this list
