Absolutely obsessed with the lips on this lady 👄 She was marked Shy/Fearful and had a lot of dandruff. Cats don't groom if they're stressed so shelter kitties are grungy. Brushing cleans their skin and fur but it also tells them that grooming here, but also with humans in general, is safe.

I had this middle drawer pulled out for a while, giving access to the side drawers, so my skittish kitty could hide. Skittish kitty is in a new, safe space so I closed the drawers. Mia just realized this. Mia never used the side drawers before but their absence is confounding her 😹

I met this beauty in the last days of 2024. Her coloring was labeled patch tabby but she's also a chimera. Chimera cats are produced when two eggs fuse together in the womb resulting in mixed DNA.

Lilith is my oldest, sweetest girl. I first brought her to my apartment over a decade ago. She once moved cross country with me (by plane). She is scared of her own shadow but so long as she's with me she knows she's safe. And keeping her safe has equally saved me.
