I'm looking forward to seeing them again later this year to celebrate 25 years of this seminal album.

I've posted before about my love of earthtone9, and this album is their masterpiece (although their last 2 albums come close!) It's heavy and riffy in places, but with some fantastic melodies too. The two tracks featuring Ish Lewis from Liberty 37 (P.R.D. Chaos and Yellow Fever) are perfection.

Yeah, they were great! 😀🤘

This was their third album, released in 2004. Although it doesn't have a huge big song like 'The Red' from the previous album, 'The Clincher' and 'Vitamin R (Leading Us Along)' come pretty close. Great stuff.

I'll leave this at home then...

I did a vocal cover of the track 'Falling Out' a while back, and I was delighted to reach some of the guys from the band! You can check it out over on my YouTube channel.

It's a fantastic album, with a really strong sense of melody and hooks. Their singer Ish Lewis also appears on 2 songs on earthtone9's seminal album arc'tan'gent' - one of my favourite collaborations ever.

I remember seeing the video for 'Oh River' on MTV2 and loving it, with a riff that was quite Tooly but with more of an alt-rock edge. They were featured a lot in Kerrang at the time, so I was keen to pick up their debut album when it came out.

I'm sure many of you will know that I'm a huge Sevendust fan, and 'Seasons' is one of my favourite Sevendust albums! Be sure to check out the podcast, and thanks again to Mike and his son Michael for checking out 'Regenerate' and for supporting new/unsigned music 😃🤘

I'm currently putting the last few pieces in place, with mixing due to start in the next couple of weeks. Thanks everyone for sticking with me, and I can't wait to share some new music soon! - Neil xx

After the 'Full Circle' EP was released in March 2023, I've spent the last 2 years writing and recording the follow up - a full-length album. I've been slowly working away on it (in between a full-time job and family life), and it's now very close to completion. (continued...)

Still, an excellent debut album and the lesser known tracks 'DDevil' and 'Soil' are both genius.

I still really like this album, but it feels like a bit of a prototype for what was to come, with some key elements missing. The dual vocal attack of Serj and Daron is notably absent, and whilst Serj's unique vocals are fully formed I really miss the harmonies prominent on their subsequent albums.

I used to trade cassettes back in the day, and I remember someone sending me a demo tape of this new band, 'System Of A Down' with a weird mix of metal and Armenian folk. It was certainly a unique sound that set them apart from other nu-metal bands of the time.

Yeah, I saw them on their recent tour too and they were fantastic! 🔥

Although we now have two great bands in Better Lovers and Many Eyes, I think I'll always be hoping that ETID eventually reunite.

Awesome, thanks so much for checking it out! 😀🤘

Jon Bunch came into FSF as their third lead vocalist, with 2 pairs of big shoes to fill... and absolutely smashed it. The musicianship is incredible as always, with intricate guitar parts and time signature shifts that are so well done that you barely notice them.

I last saw them here in Glasgow, and sadly it was only half full. They still played like it was the most important gig of their career. Absolutely incredible.

I've posted many times before about my love for Sevendust, and this showcases a nice acoustic spin on their sound. I remember the harmonies being great on this one, with Clint Lowery taking lead on Xmas Day and perfectly complementing Lajon's unmistakable vocals.

Yeah, I've seen them a few times live over the years and they've always been great 🔥

I struggle to choose a favourite between this and the follow-up 'Crisis'. There are some incredible tunes on this one though - No Transitory and Happiness By The Kilowatt being the stand-outs tracks for me. What are your favourite tracks from this one?

It has the perfect combination of shouty vocals from frontman George Pettit and the beautiful cleans from Dallas Green (with a wee bit of punky singing from Wade MacNeil, who is a bit more prominent on their later albums).

Woooooaaaaahhhhh... Alexisonfire! This one is definitely considered a post-hardcore classic, and it was my introduction to the band 20ish years ago.
