Again, we didn’t say she couldn’t have done it to be cruel. We said it wasn’t an accident.

Again, that’s terrible but nothing to do with this post or the email in question. We aren’t even questioning or assigning character traits. -You- are projecting and need therapy.

Then get off the post dipstick. I do have personal experience as both an abused child and a mother. I have narcissistic family members too, and you definitely are ringing your own bell a little too loudly.

You making this about you, repeating something that is not at all part of the point of what was posted, and then pretending it’s about a political stance rather than common sense (emails don’t just happen). You find it easier to blame mom. Fine, I said even if she’s a bad one she meant it.

Because, as someone who was also abused as a child by a parent, it doesn’t excuse my own behaviors. At some point we have to go to therapy or do the work needed to change. Not becoming an incel or mistreating others. My kids didn’t get the same treatment I did, because I did the work.

That doesn’t mean she didn’t mean what she said. Whether or not he was mistreated as a child is also not the point. It wasn’t an accidental email.

It has nothing to do with your experience as a son. Even if what she said to him was wrong she absolutely meant to say it. You trying to manipulate folks in the comments to defend the guy is unnecessary because it’s not the point.

There are also many men who go on to victimize women and blame their mothers. The point was if she said it she meant it. There was no accident. Even bad mothers aren’t out there “accidentally” sending diatribes to their sons.

How is me saying, I don’t think fan fic writers are untalented at any point condescending? You said who mentioned talent, the original post did. You can choose whatever path works for you but I don’t think -either- of us speaks for all.
comment in response to
post
The originally shared post was about people assuming fan fic is poorly written. That was my reaction to that statement. I have done this for many years and I don’t feel pressured but you do you.

But if I inspire you and you change it and make money? I’d be all about it!
comment in response to
post
If you want to share what you write, you should be able to make anything from it. If you do it in fan fic land it does limit that. I as someone who does her own characters doesn’t trust randoms with my darlings for $.

Okay? But I have fun writing my -own- stuff. So again that’s not a real answer. If they are happy to write and make no money that’s okay but talent has zero to do with that. I write for money and have a regular career so I’m not overstressed lol.
comment in response to
post
I don’t assume it’s written poorly, and I have zero issue with it as long as they aren’t trying to make money off it. What baffles me is why -super- talented people don’t just reconfigure it from the get go because they deserve their own trajectory that earns them $.

We dislike turkey for the most part and have only done it once in the last 16 years because the youngest wanted to try it.
