Microsoft doesn't call it's big releases by version number, it comes up with consumer friendly names: XP, Vista, 10 etc. This should especially be true if the software doesn't need annual releases.

The end user shouldn't be concerned with semantic versions either. It is like asking consumers to understand the difference between different models of computer chips, sure some techy people will understand and love knowing the specs, but the majority of the population doesn't.

Frequent breaking changes create LOTS of headaches. Major version bumps are tough in large codebases—each risky to implement. I’d prefer one annual major release bundling multiple breaking changes over frequent disruptive major bumps.

Great writeup! I completely agree with your points on Mojang's social media inconsistency. Mixing memes, teasers, and updates creates confusion, as seen with No Man's Sky's marketing approach. This issue has been slowly creeping in, but the recent DLC drop was the biggest red flag, in my opinion.

The ads make the game look easy because the person playing in the ad is purposely terrible. It makes you want to download the game to prove how easy it actually is.

It’s just… everyone is so hyper connected and they disassociate from reality, watching DNSL mess with these people is so insanely interesting to me.

This is amazing! I wonder if anything like this would ever be included in the base game, super accessible!

Does the new office have any fun decor? My bucket list is to visit both Minecraft offices.

Unfortunately development for Bedrock VR has ceased, or will cease in the coming months.

I’m worried. The sets do look great, but I’m very worried about the plot and overall story of the movie.

It doesn’t help that my videos focus on the niche of “Minecraft Beta” and “Legacy Console Edition.” I love these versions of the game, but maybe my editing style and tone don’t align with what people expect on YouTube.
I know it’s partly on me, but it might also just be a reflection of the times.

Legacy or Bedrock? Legacy seems to run far better 😅

I should note that this website will not feature advertisements of any kind, and mods/content will be posted by authors of said content, not site moderators. These "mods" are just test submissions.

Is there one for the left or politics in general.
I much prefer my little echo chamber of “no politics”.

You were thrown into a vast world with only your instincts to guide you. Every new mountain, biome, every farm, every night spent warding off mobs was something you figured out through trial and error. That sense of survival wasn’t just a game mechanic—it was a core part of the experience.

When will the blocking systems evolve to detect shit I don’t want to see in photos.

AI should free us from mundane tasks so we can focus on what truly matters, channeling our creativity into fields that inspire us. AI-generated art crosses a line. What’s the point of being creative if some robot is going to ‘do it for me’ :/
Probably a hot take.

Modding old Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 was a headache. Using an IDE like Eclipse with MCP, you’d decompile the .jar, modify the code, and recompile it, hoping it didn’t break the game. Bytecode issues were common, and class files had to be manually injected, often causing the dreaded ‘black screen’. Awful

Interestingly enough, people like Notch considered pirating to be a “good” thing.
