The simplest way for we the customers to curb subversive studio practices is to wait for games to be reviewed by a source that they trust. Don't pre-buy or buy at launch unless you find value in it.

We went from "we need time to study COVID" to "we have a vaccine" in weeks. While most vaccines are fine the COVID vaccine has some justifiable concerns associated to it that are acknowledged by the government.

I just finished my first BG3 playthrough. It made me sad because to me, this game had just the right mix of elements to make it engaging but not overbearing. I felt that bittersweet sadness one feels when finishing a good book.

Yes and no depending on the circumstance. Certain media outlets favor the left and still did not report these things. I suspect that has more to do with analytics and sensationalism selling more than reporting positive things. There is no single correct answer as a reason for this issue.
