There is a reason when I do portfolio reviews and exercises, I insist people include not just cutscenes but also barks, item descriptions, potential database entries - as a game writer you need to do ALL OF THAT. (Another great thread from Ann.)

@ceriyoungwrites.bsky.social and I came up with the idea of “carrots” to represent this. Sometimes word or page count while writing or editing doesn’t reflect the amount of work you in. “Carrots” represents energy or satisfaction, especially as pertains to unseen work.
