Complacency got us here. Why would the same complacent leaders act differently now? Leaders are the voice of the people. The mute ones don’t represent us.

We got ours before musk went crazies. Can’t afford another car right now and are stuck with this ugly burden. Reselling is awful. Telling ourselves he’s already made his money off us and selling won’t make a difference. Never again!! Don’t even buy a pair of socks now without checking.

Yes let’s bring them over and have fresh apartheid setup in this country (within a fake democracy) since actual democracy is antithetical to anything apartheid!

Mobilize. Have conversations that become living room conversations. At present there is no way to get through to the people amongst all this disinformation and noise. Hit locally, county by county. Local News. Local Events. Connect. Half the electorate feels disconnected & orphaned right now!

It’s a long drawn battle and has to be fought not with litigation or in congress but culturally and in people’s living rooms. The danger is so insidious and subtle to a common man and so should the remedy be. Hit the national conversations but district by district, county by county locally.

World domination is De minimis. I’m more worried about world wide destruction. We are already seeing an erosion of values. The moral compass is weirdly skewed everywhere lately. I’m not a historian but I wonder if morality is cyclical and this is genuinely an event out of our control as humans.

Women in this country really do stand brave and tall! 👏

One would think the rate at which people are abandoning X, he is indeed being cancelled. He can scream otherwise from the rooftop and wouldn’t change the truth one bit. Apparently that’s the problem with truth. It stands firm.

What I’ve noticed in some countries with authoritarian regimes is how data like this is suppressed. I wont be surprised if and when you see less and less of these kinds of stats.

I’m not religious. As someone raised in a very conservative home, I’m still learning how to introduce hope and fairness outside the context of religion or the notion of god, but I fully agree with you. I’m educating myself and hope to do better.

I’d be sad to ever let my daughter read it. To her, atleast for now, in god’s eyes we are all equal and there is fairness. This poem in all it’s axiomatic beauty, shatters even that consolation.

The only purpose here is to instill fear. I’ve seen this story play out before. This is a message to the ones who won’t get in line!

Art is what has taken the role of describing the reality of our times for ages. A powerful medium. Throttling it or confining it defeats its very purpose.

And he’ll pluck these 600 people out of thin air? Having a plan and executing it flawlessly are two different things. There is nothing to suggest in the man’s history of an iota of competence. And that’s a fact and hopefully not wishful thinking!

Welcome! This is the kind of community and people that I was missing on Twitter!

I feel the same when I talk to some of them. Social media and short format news is making them feel even worse about their situation when they see how much people around them have moved up. They are raging and feel helpless about not having the same upward mobility.

Unfortunately there are some countries where even that is dead, so enjoy while it lasts I guess.

Is it possible for a climate where leaders with questionable character and moral convictions are elected, maybe the society itself had changed and this election is a mirror to that fact? Should I then worry about the tipping point where crime is concerned. Won’t it go up?

Of all the things, this would be a loss indeed sadly.

This is what happened in India. Only that the departments were captured and compromised not purged.
