Agree but what do you think about that question? đź‘€

Presser is over, crowd is still here. Popular chants include “No kings, only trains” and “Bring back Pete”

Most liberals paying attention to high speed rail stuff care about what these politicians actually do in office rather than being part of a sad cult so that’s why they want the non-idiot back

There are already press briefings by our actual congressional leadership that nobody watches because people do not get their political information through press briefings anymore.

Cheri Jacobus blocked me lol

Her framing is super disingenuous. “2028 hopefuls out aside your jealousy” or whatever. Give me a break dude. And basically calling him a carpet bagger even though this senate seat wasn’t available until like a few weeks ago is super trash

It’s also just such a terminally online politics idea. Nobody watches press briefings or cable news as it is. I dont think all the regular people supporting it are necessarily coming from the same place as this woman, but l I fully do not trust this isn’t kind of a bad faith endeavor

You’re 100% right about this

He moved there to raise children near family. In what universe would a fake press secretary role for Congress be more important than being in actual congress? Now it just reads like you’re trying to keep him from running. Grim.

He doesn’t live in DC. Get one of the hundred members of Congress to do this ffs it’s their literal job and they’re already there.

I don’t know that I’d assume because someone thinks Ken Martin can arrange something like this, that those people also think Pete shouldn’t run for office and should just be the party’s worker bee. Idk that those two things auto overlap
comment in response to post
Those people exist, sure. I think that’s kind of conflating different things though.

I get why people say that, especially given Pete isn’t speaking out much now so what people remember is his DOT public appearances where he was largely defending the administration. If he starts leading, people will view him differently imo, but it’s up to him.

Ok! Yeh we just have v different opinions on Buttigieg as a politician. Gotta say having just started moving away from Twitter to here it’s wild how different the experience in the comments is 🤣

I don’t think they’re extremely left, but they’re definitely policies held by zero people in the right wing. I don’t see how all of those positions are arguments for keeping shit the same but cheers anyway.

Nothing in your reply says anything about what he actually supports? He ran in 2020 on Supreme Court reform, abolishing the electoral college, sectoral bargaining and a public option. That is center right to you?

Center right? In what world

This aop only lets you post 60 second videos and that’s not enough!

Uh he did not support separate bathrooms. He said it was cruel, wrong, and a waste of time. In the rest of the clip which you cut off he said they should be put on the defensive for pushing that. Not sure what the point of lying here is
