Leave trans kids alone.

know this: there are people I respect & do not follow. there are people I follow & do not respect. it`s up to fate—i make no apologies of it

when cell phones were first invented digimon otis called them "the poor man's bandai wonderswan". clearly he was wrong to have said this .

"click here to verify the email address associated with your account" Why? So the trolls can murder me easier ??

the lesson of this isn't that tucker carlson is actually good but that you should ask these people basic factual questions instead of bullshit about politics

“i asked chat gpt” “i asked grok” Jeeves would kill you where you stand

The anti-abortion movement and what it has wrought is more horrifying than any horror movie. It is a rejection of the dignity of life and a mockery of human wellbeing

there's a solid 20% chance Kristi Noem just became Patient Zero for Captain Tripps

This is bravery and decency. This is what people upset about this administration want. If you really believe this stuff is wrong, and you have a public profile and principles and want to say you're a leader, then get out there and do the damn thing.

I still can't get past the idea that people in America are now supposed to accept that this is a valid form of law enforcement and just assume it's fine when random dudes in groups with face-coverings, no ID, no warrant, & no uniform grab people off the street and force them into unmarked vehicles

administration should just put up a “no niggers” sign and save themselves the trouble of writing out each country

Last night 300000 of my followers tragically perished. While im saddened by the news, I never met most of them and do not really give a shit

donald the dove

the antiwar president is on the verge of committing the nation to the most ambitious and risky military adventurism since Iraq — but in this case the enemy is far stronger and far more dangerous and the possible consequences of having no real end-game are even more apocalyptic.

we are at the “SA beating and arresting political opponents” stage of the transition to authoritarianism

I shit you not, people

The small bounce in Trump’s approval rating in May has now subsided. According to our average, his net rating (-9.1) is just one point off his all-time low (just after the tariffs snafu and Abrego Garcia case). www.gelliottmorris.com/p/data

“Contra handwringing that democrats should stay away from immigration, the focus on the issue has led to a sharp drop in the public’s approval of Trump’s handling of it.” www.liberalcurrents.com/no-kings-sho...

People on here, regardless if they're left or liberals love to assign many voters deeper motives than they have. A significant amount of people voted Trump because he's the man from the TV that said he'd make things cheap again.

NEW — Here are the 12 members of Congress who have so far signed on to efforts against the Trump-Vance administration's moves towards war on Iran. 2.2% of Congress

The Times saying last year they'd no longer endorse candidates in local elections, then immediately being like "oh but not THAT guy" 10 months later because the candidate wants free buses gives away the whole game. "Objectivity" means you break your own rules to punch left as much as you want.

The Atlantic should be ashamed of publishing this nightmare piece from Liz Bruenig, whose callous dismissal of Adriana Smith's dignity is one of the most shocking things I've ever read.

there's been something of a tendency since October 7 to believe the *moral* disasters of Israeli action will result in *military* disaster, and that's likely to pop up again. I'm making no predictions here but I'd treat any 'this time Israel will really be in trouble' takes with a grain of salt.

For a lot of relatively comfortable Americans, electing an emotionally incontinent imbecile was a bit of entertainment. A game. Good sport, owning those libs. I hope they’re duly entertained.

I wrote about Democrats' obsession with calling Trump's actions a "distraction," and how it reflects their failure to understand the modern media ecosystem.

as someone prone to directly confronting people for stuff they say online, that from lee is the face of someone who did not expect to be confronted for something he said online

"To everyone who pulls me aside to whisper with the best intentions 'You have already won', I am sorry, but the days of moral victories are over. And as my father told me years ago, 'When the Right wins power, the Left writes a great book.' Those days are over too." -Zohran Mamdani

"The Senate will be MORE aggressive seeking savings from Medicare" is at "the vampires will be MORE aggressive seeking iron for their diets" levels of language obfuscation.

for strange, unknowable reasons much of this country seems incapable of granting revolutionary agency to a band of dedicated evangelical Christians - we are determined to see them as rubes and, thus, it can't possibly be true they outwitted us and now run the Pentagon and the entire US fedl govt

Anti-cancel culture is worse than cancel culture and always has been for the exact same reason that the excesses of democracy are always less bad than the excesses of monarchy/feudalism/totalitarianism.

i am glad that more people are catching on to the fact that mike lee is a total degenerate

It's pretty notable that mainstream, establishment discourse never ever ever considers giving liberal politicians credit for crime reductions. It's almost axiomatic that if crime goes down under a center-left leader it's either unremarked upon, or must be driven by something else.

Among Democrats - "Do you support Democrats like Sanders and AOC who call for a more aggressive stance towards Trump, or moderate Democrats who are willing to compromise with Trump issues important to their base?" AOC/Bernie: 70% Moderate Dems: 30% Harvard-Harris / June 12, 2025

I had the same reaction. Mamdani is such a threat in their view that they had to essentially reverse their non-endorsement policy. If Cuomo was cruising to victory, I doubt this piece would be written.

I just like to post these data from time to time to puncture the mythological aura of mid 20th c protests. They were less popular than pretty much any 21st c mass action & people criticizing them used the same lines. Protest is about people coming together, shaping narratives, & building power.

If Mamdani wins this primary, the institutional/organizational forces trying to defeat him in a general election will be enormous, likely including the city’s billionaires, major news orgs, prominent black leaders and many Dem politicians. That’s what happened to India Walton in Buffalo in 2021.

"Dems are not capitalizing on Trump’s failures and retreats now that the public has soured on his sadistic immigration-enforcement priorities." There are a few exceptions here (Gavin Newsom especially) but that from @brianbeutler.bsky.social is correct: www.offmessage.net/p/why-democr...

this is obviously something to take seriously but i am also struck by how the white house’s only move is to double down, no matter how unpopular or politically disastrous it might be
