The biggest mistake I see in discussions of trans people's healthcare is the idea that hormones and the like are some special service just for us when really all kinds of people access the same health care for all kinds of reasons but they are *withheld* from us because we are trans

For all 3 cis people following me...

The federal government is trying to kill 150,000 trans people in the United States. I can count the number of cis people talking about this on one hand.

If this spending bill passes the Senate and is signed into law in its current form, all but the most financially fortunate transgender people will be forcibly detransitioned regardless of their ability - or inability - to produce their own sex hormones. This is a ten thousand-alarm fire.

It rules being a tranny because you tune into the news on a random day and find yourself confronted with some new story like "New budget specifically says 'we wont cover healthcare for trannies. specifically those people'" and then i have to go back to work like everything is normal for 8 hours

@exokgames.bsky.social made my favorite game in the world in 2018, and I am so happy to celebrate it on my body forever

if an ally can be alienated and withdraw support for you because you asked them to talk about you with dignity? if they chastise you for aggressively holding your ground on the demand that you be treated as an equal? they were never an ally to begin with. maybe one day they could be - not your job.

For no particular reason... A reminder that this extends to Bethesda games www.bdsmovement.net/news/boycott...

ftr "you cannot engage with harry potter without jkr profiting" includes piracy. you are still giving it attention. you are still keeping it in the social consciousness. you are still, probably, talking about it to someone. you have to let it go. you have to fucking let it go.

Astrid is a wonderful person - if you can, anything to help her pursue this dream is so very appreciated.

If anyone had told me the sheer relief I would feel having finally had bottom surgery, I never would've doubted my transness again. It is wildly astonishing to me that cis people just... Live like this. You don't know how good you have it. Transition saves lives.

🥰mel🥰 actual loml. i do not care that she's not real. leave us be.

i want people to enjoy things but it's still fuck nintendo also like. can you afford a $449 console and then $80-90 per game on top of that? i sure can't.

For TDOV, a thread; I am trans, but that fact has never felt invisible. I had bottom surgery 2 months ago and in recent weeks, for the first time, I've found an ability to forget my transness and simply exist - and it's wonderful. But it's also scary.

If you’re going to write an op-ed like this as a newspaper, I had better see at least one example of a “scolding, censorious posture”, or else I’m just going to assume that the actual problem is that getting yelled at by strangers online has melted everyone on the Editorial Board’s brains

@samreich.bsky.social Have you ever wanted professional Celeste training? @carrarium.bsky.social has a deal for you. #GetCarrieOnDropout

Astrid is a gem of a person and deserves great things :)

Lrt this is the shit I mean

However much you hate the New York Times, it isn't enough

Friendly reminder that if you are giving the new york times clicks, views, or money you are supporting fascism

Focusing hard on passing means putting time and energy into what other people think instead of your own happiness. Down that path lies misery

Public comment is now open for passport gender marker changes. You can go here to go to each of the three proposed passport rules, and submit comment. My suggestion: be unique, argue for trans-inclusive policies, against the constitutionality of the changes, etc. www.reddit.com/r/Passports/...

Long thread but 100% on point. Bioessentialism has no place in a free society.

Incomplete list of ways that forcing trans people to disclose AGAB on medical records harms us: 1. Bad assumptions. Doctors see AGAB and their eyes glaze over and assume you are identical in every way to others with same AGAB, just they have to call you by different pronouns if they can be bothered
