Former Tea Party Republican in a swing state who will fight like hell to stop the GOP. Found out to my surprise policy wise I am much more of a progressive than a conservative. Apparently I had a hell of an epiphany.

Your son in law being a refugee is more reason for her to use her visibility wisely? As opposed to those who are starving to death in Gaza right now, which she is bringing international attention to?

A shame you are more outraged at her actions than you are Israel. Sit behind your computer doing nothing complaining about those who do something.

People have said this very thing to every activist who has done what she has done. The goal is to show the public what is happening. Until we the people across the globe stand up nothing will change.

She is showing the world what is happening. It isn't her who is lacking in smarts.

Half of the people aren't racist but half of the people will stay silent when they see or hear racism happening. Know thyself, I know my nation.

Llike I said, I know there is more they can do but they are already doing things that are part of declaring martial law. Example, checking papers are checkpoints in certain states. It is already happening.

We are already in Martial Law from what I see. We have men, women, and children being abducted from our streets each and every day by our government. Our courts are already being bypassed, our local governments under assualt. I know there is more they can do with a declaration.

My understanding is that it is so people don't keep trapping the kitty and bringing it in to be fixed.

It is so they don't keep getting trapped to be checked if they are fixed or not.

It isn't a misunderstanding, it is a purposeful mischaracterization. He knows he is lying.

Where I live the vets do that to show the cat has been fixed when it is an outside cat.

How come other nations can just take to the streets and bring about change but in the US we are told we need to follow the pattern of the civil rights movement? Something that I would argue that was never really won, just deferred.

The GOP has been holding our money to finance the schools hostage for years. Vos brought this on himself by refusing to allow taxes paid to fund schools being actually sent to the schools.

The GOP purposefully didn't fix the rule last time this was before the SC in WI. It is a "game" that has been played between the GOP and Dems for decades and Evers just outsmarted the GOP legislature that has been hoarding our money for years.

I'm guessing this ability is what made homo sapiens so successful. When you can rationalize anything you can always move forward. In the end it will be our downfall.

Isn't the whole goal of all this to see who comes out as the Taco Bell of Demolition Man. To see who shall survive as the sole provider for each industry?

We have to put our lives on the line. By lives I mean physical safety, monetary safety, lives of our families. The far right is a cult and they will attempt to destroy anyone who stands up against this regime. We could lose it all, but it would be worth it.

You have to get the water ratio right, it just didn't have the same bite to it, I guess would be how I would describe it. It wasn't bad, just not the same as if you ate it fresh. When I eat it in stews and soups I don't really notice any difference.

Yes it is, over 20 years if you have it sealed in mylar bags with an oxygen absorber.

I prefer to use the raw meats in soups, stews, and chilis, they work really good cooked those ways.

I did my own freeze dried steak, I didn't buy it. I rehydrated it in hot water, then cooked it in a skillet with butter and herbs and salt and pepper. Flavor was really good. The cross section looked not the best and it doesn't come back out with the exact same texture either.
comment in response to

Just don't look at the crosscut if you rehydrate and grill it.

Raw meat works great in soups or stews though. That is my favorite way to use it.

Just don't look at the crosscut, taste isn't too bad, looks, not so much. But over all pretty good. Jerkey when made in a regular dehyrdator is processed raw. With a freeze dryer it is safe to do regualr pieces of meat raw. I still prefer to do it cooked though to be honest and in recipes.
