Elevating conspiracism is a tactic of post-truth politicians — when there is no truth, there can be no “truth to power”.
It’s not a matter of what they think is true or not, it’s an intentional “flood the zone” assault on the very idea that truth and falsity can even be evaluated. See: Russia.

“Grace” and “benefit of the doubt” that’s given maximum affordance to the most powerful while those on the margins of society are presumed hostile, mooching, and useless is not grace or benefit of the doubt, it’s fake credulity, its a scam, it’s a system of oppression and ideological disciplining
