Plenty of international oil producing countries would be happy to avoid funelling funds through Trump's federal reserve.

I'd like to see Merz and Macron (and Starmer) promoting the Euro as the main global reserve currency. If the Petro-Euro was to replace US$ for global sale of Oil and gas, then Trump would be on course to bankrupt yet another business - this time a whole country.

Better to fine Thames Water incrementally for failures - about £3bn should do it. Then they can give back the keys to the infrastructure for the same price they paid for it =£0.
Let the shareholders and creditors take the haircut, not the tax payer.

No scoop. They're just doing Putin's bidding, as predicted.

They were given their assets at zero cost, and then used those assets to load the business with debt. Nearly 30% of current consumer bills now goes to service that debt.
They care not a jot about their customers, nor the environment, just making their fat cat bosses and shareholders rich.

Unfortunately, Trump is not appeasing Putin. He is aligning with him, with Europe as the common enemy.

Republicans like their voters uneducated.

Look at the Red State stats.

It was always on the cards with Trump. He has been a Russian Asset for years.
He still can't be trusted not to stiff Ukraine. He'll be after rights to their rare earth as part of his protection racket.

They expressed surprise at the rise of Reform, and then invite Farridge on to their programme AGAIN to discuss.

It's almost as if they're doing the bidding of a foreign enemy. Putin, for example.

I predict Trump, on the other hand, will end his days like Elvis: A heart attack while sitting on his gold toilet eating a Big Mac.
Either that or Putin will decide he's of no further use and arrange for him to be shot out of a window onto 5th Avenue.

Apparently, it was a "Roman" salute.
Clearly, Musk wants to model himself not on Hitler, but on Il Duce - Mussolini, so that's OK then.
I guess he'll end up hung by his heels outside a petrol station, instead of dead in his bunker.

Feck me George. Every day I hear about something else they did, the more I think what a disastrous communication failure they made.

I am troubled by the smirk on Fiona Bruce every time she smears a Labour politician.
The BBC continually platforms Farridge.
The board is staffed by Tory HQ.
It's time for a good clear out.

Biden should've been making this point loud and clear, right through the last four years. It's not just about doing the right stuff, but demonstrating every day that you're doing the right stuff.

I think you do a great job Jolyon, but I think you're over-egging this.
Your chief "culprit" is OPD group, which is a massive recruitment business covering EVERY business sector. Yes, healthcare - both private and NHS, but also Food, Drink, Hospitality, Transport, Manufacturing, etc.

Social media is on the "world wide" web - literally, and so is its audience- even when physically within UK. Sure, Ban it, But many will circumvent it without difficulty.
And if UK Govt isn't on TikTok, Telegram, Twitter etc, our enemies will be - from Farridge to Musk to Putin.

To be fair, I think it's a bit of schadenfreude at Farridge's expense.

I guess he's ( the govt has) made the judgment that it's better to have the richest man with the big platform on the inside of the tent pissing out rather than on the outside pissing in.
But Musk has too much Ketamine in his system for it to work.

I see Kuenssberg will be welcoming the pus filled boil Farridge onto her platform again this morning. She's guaranteed not to squeeze it.
