There's a perfectly good cycle lane in that ditch, yet here I am, riding a bike!

Zebra Crossings across a 2 lane road seems asking for accidents

I showed this to my 17y.o. nephew and it was the truest bonding moment we've ever shared.

It's really fun to block people on here, isn't it? I'm going to block this sharting blue person here, and that's just lovely.

That traffic's going to affect the X2, X32, 33, 33A, X34, X35, X36, 91, 95, as well as the Milton Park Shuttle. Do people travelling not matter to you guys, @dandwlabour.bsky.social? They're typically more likely to be from marginalised communities, FWIW. Not everybody is a car, guys.

Also @dandwlabour.bsky.social re:Station Road: do you want that to be 2 lanes each way as well? Because if you remove a bottleneck downstream, that bottle-neck is *still* going to exist, it'll just be shunted a few hundred yards west. And the traffic's already bad enough there at rush hour.

Follow-up about BUSES: making it a bus-only route would (A) make it easier for buses traveling to the train station from Milton Park/GW Park/Steventon/Oxford, as there wouldn't be the traffic on Station Road, so that would improve life for the buses.

Hitchcock Way shouldn't be a through-road to begin with, or should be 1-way. There's a ring road around the edge of Didcot which should be sufficient for people traveling to the Orchard, and most of Didcot is within walking distance (or on one of the bus routes which you're so concerned about)

Nobody with half a brain in didcot actually wants this.

Good to see the LibDems being the real opposition in the UK. Thanks to them, the Tories will *never* get back in power.

Ahh, but that opens up a new avenue for shitting things up for the archaeologists by placing fake ingredients, so they think everyone ate screwdrivers in the olden days, or whatever. I've not thought this through.

Your initial post had a similar sentiment, it was just a bit less direct.

However, as @okwonga.bsky.social put it, if people can't bring themselves to accurately acknowledge things like *checks notes* salutes, then you're wasting your time with them - they are unserious people and not deserving of any bandwidth in your brain. Taking this energy into 2025.

do you back "self-evident" things with actual evidence, though?

I hate to say it, but Osborne would have been on-board with HS2 and NPR, though he would still have fucked it.

> Human CO2 may be playing a role but nowhere near 100% of it. It is probably impossible for us to alter the course of the climate. But even supposing we can, practical things first. Scientific research citations for this, or you're getting blocked xx

Like the French proncunciation, rhyming with oblique.

Sure, I was just getting a slight "if climate change is real, how come it's raining over here?" thing from your post, but I may well have misinterpreted. Don't disagree on the rest of it much, practical solutions are important.

Increased energy in the atmosphere can lead to massive atmospheric rivers dumping ridiculous amounts of rain. It makes quite a lot of sense.

Anyway I'm going to sleep.

Depends what you mean by left/right. If you mean it as in the political content, sure, obviously. If you're talking about left/right people, like lots of people who just consider themselves "right wing" for whatever embedded personal reasons will agree with the statement as well. Also obviously.
comment in response to post
I mean I don't see the problem here. It is a left wing position, but also just... extremely "common sense".

Oh wait I hadn't seen the original post that had ALL the Dawn Foster quoting you could ask
