"Make my mail late again."

Pretty soon all the Republicans, including Trump will be making that gesture.

Make pedophilia great again. David Daniel will be so happy.

Too late. Trump has proclaimed himself king. He will never leave power. He is purging the government and military of anyone that isn't a loyalist. American democracy has failed.
comment in response to post
If we have a king in the US we most certainly should treat him with all the courtesy due to Louis XVI of France.

Death to the King! Death to the King!

Trump seems to be jealous of Hoover's job loss record.

I've climbed the mountain on the left twice.

So what's the takeaway. Young people are going to do the Republicans main objective of cutting SS and Medicare?

So if Trump is assassinated, his murderer can claim that he's "savings the country"?

Success breeds confidence. People are still camping on the greed side of town .

I bought Brooklinin sheet on your advice. They were the most flimsy sheet I've ever seen. The seams started splitting on the very first use. I give them a zero out of 10. The best sheets I've purchased recently are the 800 thread hotel sheets from Costco. You have to buy online. $99/sale $79.

Hard pass. I have no idea why anyone finds caviar to be delicious.

Ronald Reagan must be rolling over in his grave.

Isn't it funny all the bad things that happen on Trump's watch are someone else's fault then when something good happens when he's not the president it's because of him.

Not makeup. Spackling.

It isn't an overhaul. It is a coup. The only agenda those criminals have is consolidating power in their own hands with their witless fools as collaborators.

The compensation is ridiculously low. Practically starvation wages. $50k to live in San Diego, San Francisco, or NYC. Demands on these workers are ridiculously high: why aren't you working 70 hours per week? If you don't publish a paper every year your career is over.

When Trump gets done the economy will make people pine for the 2008-09 economic conditions.

What they mean is that they think they're going to convince US people to head to the labor market by inflicting cruelty upon them.

The four penguins of the apocalypse?

So what are you proposing? The US defaults on its debts, the Federal reserve prints $27 T to make up for the loss? In that scenario interest rates go through the roof, and the people that have any remaining money take a 50% haircut on their remaining assets? Sounds like a Trump made Nirvana.
comment in response to post
That's 4% of the amount we are talking about. In reality they are backing $24 T in assets. fred.stlouisfed.org/series/TLAAC...

The FDIC is a government agency. They are backed not by the premiums that they take in from the banks, but by the full faith and credit of the United States. Currently the deposit insurance fund is $121 billion. www.fdic.gov/about/financ...

Nevermind that the money to cover that would be coming from those willing to buy American bonds from a country that just defaulted on its debt.
comment in response to post
The US debt is 36 Trillion. If the US were to default on that it would have a profound effect on the US to sell bonds in the future. Let's say that the average American has $1000 in savings, that is 330 million times $1000, or $3.3 trillion.
comment in response to post
Not if they default. That's far far too much for the FDIC to cover.
comment in response to post
They intend to default on the debt. Wait until regular folks find out that their bank account balance is mostly tied up in Treasury notes and bonds.
comment in response to post
They never cared about local control. It was about their control.

Trump is looking forward to adding to his post-Hoover record.

A dumb man trying to sell an obviously infeasible idea that he is too foolish to admit cannot and will not happen.

Be careful. The government might just buy up all the Tesla inventory to prop up Musk even more.

Why on earth would the US want Gaza? There is no benefit to owning this land. Doesn't this also hurt our relationship with friendly middle eastern nations like Jordan and Egypt? This is the type of idea that people smoking marijuana come up with.

Yet the stock continues to have a P/E indicative of a growing company.

It was also very helpful that Trump ordered federal agencies to halt regular scientific reports, health advisories, etc.

Trump claims he's so wonderful that he can easily fix any problem. He had better get his fat lazy ass a layin'.

It's the OL. Several of them have expiring contracts. Coop isn't the same player in terms of production as he was in 2021. It's a sad fact of life in the NFL.

Apparently they didn't get enough of Cuomo's antics when he was governor.

I hope Trump digs in his heels. America needs a wake up call.

Cronie government.

Cronie government; Cronie capitalism. Clearly this is what the American people signed up for.

They should add an export tax on crude that matches the Tariffs in the event that Trump exempts Canadian crude from the Tariffs.
