He already did it during his first term. Remember the unmarked vehicles in Portland full of law enforcement who went unidentified? They grabbed US cits off the street and took them to undisclosed locations. No lawyers. Certainly, do what you can now, but this will start happening.

Wonderful discussion. Generally speaking, I get the pedagogical argument of starting simple and adding complexity. The problem is, in our education system so many people don't get to the complexity part. Many adults then are left with a very simplified understanding they believe to be complete.

And clearly written by someone else. Trump lacks the dignity and intellect to use words like this.

No lawyer.

How long though? If they kick in the door, grab 4 people, put them in undisclosed detention centers, and then on planes in 30 days with no layer, who is going to stop them. The Trump Reich is already ignoring court orders and the law. "Do not quote laws to us who hold swords" is the next step.

Costco is the #1 provider of organic food to America. So, there's an alternative. (Labor relations might be sus)

This is probably a fake. I can't find any record of this on Twitter or other searches. Others are trying to ascertain the veracity as well. If you can provide a source on where you find this, that would be appreciated. That doesn't mean Musk isn't a PoS, just let's be as truthful as we can

Put the label 2050 above that middle step

It's part of the new misinformation campaign. Instead of trying to deny obvious climate change, they have switched tactics. The new tactic is: Yes climate change, but don't worry about it. There will be these amazing innovations in 2050 that will fix everything. No change needed right now

Don't worry about it. Everything is fine. In fact, this is a good thing. Global shipping companies are already jockeying for position to run ships through an ice free Arctic. This way we can send even more cheap crap from China even cheaper! Business as usual. (Sarcasm)

You are correct. Now look at their rate of increase in installed capacity YoY and model that out to 2030 or 2035. And what you see is China becoming increasingly energy independent (can't take the sun away) while the US remains inextricably tied to fossil fuels and the price of the global market.

My humble opinion: Musk is an unrepentant believer in the principles of apartheid. Amongst other things, he is using his new power to conduct a revenge tour on all the things he blames for ending apartheid in SA.

Agreed. Excellent book

It's really quite simple. The section of the Constitution outlining the powers and duties of Congress is nearly 3x that of the Executive. Yet every president since FDR has grabbed more power. And every Congress has let them. Take the power back Senator!

Government agencies have used social media to communicate for almost as long as social media has existed. What they have never done is use one platform exclusively. If social media makes it easier to manage, fine. There's X, Threads, Blue Sky, etc. Posting across all platforms is not hard or new
