Except for the dishonest part, I agree with you. No plan. That is why I am asking you, and Jen, what would be the plan?
Schumer's admittedly reactive choice was to not go to shutdown. I agree that not going to shutdown, with a psycho getting the keys in that shutdown, is the right choice.

I am not as sure as you about Trump not shutting the government. I think he would, and if he did, then according to Schumer, Trump would gain the ability to much more damage in a short time.
If the pressure tactic would work, for a clean CR, then yes. But how to deal with shutdown? The rub.

On your #3, how would you show that? I think he did by making the choice he made.
I am not sure of the point in #2. He saw that the House did not bring the votes to return the budget to regular order.

I think there is a sickness in the Republican Party, and that Trump, and his cohort, are adept at exploiting that sickness. Your over simplification of both the problem, and the solution; hamper finding a viable solution.

I am not a huge fan of Schumer, but in this case he did answer your first question. He said that after being against the passage of the Republican, he altered course when he saw that votes in the House and the Senate would not return the bill to Regular Order (overnight) he changed his position.

This sounds so Trump/Vance/Musk. I don't see that solution as viable, especially if one cares about people. Vulnerable people.

Sorry Jen. I have been asking for your plan for when the current Executive has almost unlimited power in a government shutdown. So far - Crickets from Jen.
It is not hard to anticipate the horrors Trump will brin in a shutdown. What is your plan, Jen?

It does feel that way, but considering M4A never made it out of committee years, and years, and years ago; and is still all Bernie and Leftees offer for healthcare reform - It is the Whiney Leftee who needs to come up with their plan for when Trump - Musk have all power in a government shutdown.

A radio show on VT Public comes on at 8pm weekdays called Exploring Music with Bill McLaughlin (sp?). I think it is syndicated. Great at covering one area an hour a day for a week.
I am listening to a lot of Classical Music these days.

Of course reportage can be spun any way to meet the needs of the reporter, or the publication the reporter works for.
It is worthwhile to keep this criminal administration from gaining the almost unlimited power during a government shutdown.
I wish those who are Left-Leaning would open their eyes.

NO. Taking responsibility in the face of uninformed mass Left opinion shows strength. Moving to maintain legal guardrails is needed. Creating a scenario where this criminal Executive can dictate under a government shutdown is REALLY irresponsible.

I think that, unless there is an existing, publicized plan to deal with the lawless Trump adminstration being given almost unlimited power under a government shutdown, Jen Rubin's opinion in this case is irresponsible.
So, in this case, I disagree with the position taken by Indivisible.

Even though I go to church every Sunday, I always dig as far as I need to in order to find if whoever is in the pulpit repudiates the pastoral message in 1 Timothy: 9 - 15. I think these verses are the false justification for 2000 years of women as less than men, that is any man. Jesus in Mark.

It is kind of amazing, one day at a time. One other thing is that I had the same sponsor all that time until he passed last November.
It was great to see your sober date, as I thought. "This person I know something about that I can relate to."
My wife and I live in a nice house with wood heat.

Great about the family part. This is the first reply I have written on bluesky. Your profile, or at least this post, came up along with a couple of others. I "liked" one, but I could identify with yours. I live in NH where it is cold right now.
