Depends who you’re living with. If it’s your parents then it’s probably not relevant to the sentiment of the question 😆.

Blessed are the car makers… but what about the cheesmakers?

It’s almost like Trump doesn’t want peace.

🤣 loving the newspaper clip in a grand picture frame - as a piece of art it perfectly captures Trump in comparison in to the other portraits - on so many levels.

Surely one of the advantages of being a millionaire is that you can choose where you want to live… kinda suggests they either don’t want to live in the uk or they don’t REALLY have enough money to do so.

Nice to see you here.

I agree - there needs to be some kinda 2-week-uneaten-festive-cheese-amnisty. ✊

I feel like I need to scan this with a QR code reader to discover a secret message?

Is this a trick question? A religion can’t throw anyone anywhere.
comment in response to post
I’m not sure Christianity does either. What religion does?

Depends what you die of surely - if it’s an untimely accident then how much coke you drank is irrelevant… you may wish you drank more as your life flashes by 🖖

I think smart grown-ups and tech innovators backed by savvy legislation will come up with an effective way to protect the vast majority of kids and I expect society in general will agree it’s a positive move. Aiming for 100% success isn’t realistic, but it’s not a reason not to do anything either.

It looks like a really tricky game of ‘Guess Who?’

You seem to be lost - try tapping the App with a big white X on and I think you’ll find your way back to your people. 🙄

We did. But we knew it was a ‘grown up thing’ that we weren’t supposed to have so most of us sneaked a bit now and then 😝 or had a glass on a special occasion and pretended we were drunk rather than sitting in the living room with the family swigging from a bottle like it was an everyday thing.

I agree - introducing it earlier is a good thing so they’re not suddenly faced with it just as they’re becoming adults. Your website sounds great but other people are making content for children with dark, cruel intentions. Perhaps kids devices that can only download apps n only approved apps.

Sometimes there’s an age appropriate time to learn things. That’s why adult films, alcohol, nightclubs, driving, marriage, smoking … have an age restriction.

I totally see what you’re saying 🥰

It’s positive discrimination then - a good reason to do it.

Or ban kids using devices that can access social media/ website content.

You can’t uninvent it but you can manage it. Alcohol isn’t allowed to be purchased by kids but it’s available in shops & restaurants where kids go. We just have to be creative and bold about how we help protect kids from using it.
comment in response to post
Yes that’s a great idea. I think the actual devices need to be physically different so it’s obvious what’s an adult device and what’s a kids device. But you’re right having restricted content is good.

I think many of us who have migrated to BlueSky from ‘the other place’ have experienced first hand how emotionally detrimental social media can be - and we’re adults. It can pull you in and aggressively bombard you with negative content that slowly wears you down. Kids shouldn’t have to face that.
comment in response to post
I think the concept is good. The effective implementation is the challenge - there are more ways to approach it than just asking for age at sign-up.
comment in response to post
I guess there are lots of other things kids aren’t allowed to have and adults are - so it would be similar - buying alcohol, watching adult films at the cinema, getting into clubs… I think it’s a good idea but stopping too short - I’d ban smartphones for younger kids.

I cross checked everyone I followed before I deactivated - I went through the list and looked people up and most people are here or they tend to pop up if someone else shares/comments on their posts.

I recommend taking the leap and deactivating your Twitter account. I held onto mine for a few months to keep checking in… feeling like I might miss out on something… but since I deactivated about a month ago I haven’t missed it at all - it became a trashy tabloid and not needed in my life.

Oh yeah! That’s impressive engagement - thanks for clarifying Juli😘

How can the BlueSky account have 55m followers when BlueSky has 22m followers?
