Ahh, found it. It was a town hall for Rep Tonko. Def worth a watch though. There’s a part 1 further in the thread. bsky.app/profile/anil...

All of the stories about rebellion told us the truth. It was the enemy that spent billions a year to convince you otherwise.

I know he’d say this is the start of some Good Trouble.

Is this the one where the audience member tells him “Tell us where to turn up, we’ll turn up! We’ll get arrested with you!" I lost words for a minute watching that. It was amazing.

I hate when the NY Post gets it better than the @nytimes.com .

Yeah, agreed. Hopefully the state-level health and agri depts will pick up where the republicans decided to trip the fedgov over. i’m so fking mad at all these GOP weasels. This is all so completely unnecessary, and entirely self-inflicted.

for what its worth, the map and data look way more scary than it actually is. The map shows 2024 and earlier as well. These are the 2025 detections in WA and OR. Yes, reason to be concerned and keep an eye on things, but it’s not a huge sudden spike like what we saw with covid. Not yet anyway.

Call your MP. Propose it. Tell them you don’t want the American misinformation campaign run by the alt-nazi party to affect UK politics.

nothing but the smartest and bestest from the republican party.

lol just look back to the early 90s.

No it’s not, he’s a yellow little weasel who was always full of shit.

yep. And keep in mind the doge dipshits are gonna be “upgrading” air traffic control any day now. Also, they cut NOAA/NWS and they’re defunding FEMA. So not only will TX and FL not know when the hurricanes are coming, but FEMA won’t be there to clean it up afterwards. Call republicans. Yell.

NO COOPERATION OR SUPPORT FOR THE BUDGET PROCESS. NO DEMOCRAT SUPPORT FOR PASSING BUDGETS!

Thx.

you have it backwards. their assertions are falling apart under the lightest of scrutiny, and demonstrates they’re a bunch of idiots who have brought the federal government to a screeching halt over alleged fraud that is entirely made up and does not exist. DOGE is criminally extraconstitutional.

it’s official. elan’s also a fucking idiot.

Boycott all things Bezos. Don't wait until Feb 28. Remember he also squashed the Post's endorsement of Kamala, and Amazon paid $40M for the "rights" to a Melania movie. Bleecchhh. Clearly, he's out for himself. That's the American way, but so is refusing to buy from him.

This ^^^ This ^^^ This ^^^. I’m uninstalling Prime Video, I’m cancelling my Prime auto-renewal, and I’m taking my purchasing elsewhere, starting yesterday. $40 million to Melanie for a f^#king “documentary”. F everything about that.

And every union that supported trump and the GOP should be called out. Publicly. And visibly. Police unions need to defend their support of what’s happening to the FBI and the US Attys office.

Democrats need to be running a Daily Briefing like what Cuomo was doing during Covid. @repjasmine.bsky.social talked about it on All In w/ Chris Hayes tonight, it's exactly what we need. Get Rep Crockett, @aoc.bsky.social, @petebuttigieg.bsky.social, and @warren.senate.gov doing YouTube briefings!
comment in response to post
Yeah. Dems have a chance to be the champion of the working class here, but they’re still playing nice and not getting their shirtcuffs dirty.

You have good points. Points that republican senators/reps need to hear so they understand they’re being held responsible for the death & mayhem they are bringing onto the country. Those points could be communicated over the phone to his multiple offices tomorrow. www.cassidy.senate.gov/contact/
comment in response to post
It would be a shame if everyone called his multiple offices tomorrow to ask what his plan is to get measles vaccines for texas now that he confirmed someone to the HHS who thinks vaccines don’t work. www.cassidy.senate.gov/contact/

Questions for republicans: “Is it standard for republicans to put foreign billionaires in charge of the federal workforce without them actually being in charge of anything? Do you guys do what South African nazi billionaires tell you to do all the time or just when they give you $250,000,000?"
comment in response to post
Remember - Elon is a South African Billionaire Nazi. He bought his way into the Republican party, and now every GOP senator and representative who is NOT holding him accountable, is responsible for everything that happens from here. You should call ALL the Republicans. Let them know your feelings.
comment in response to post
Republicans gave democracy to a South African Billionaire Nazi. It’s up to us to call them every day to let them know how annoyed & frustrated we are, & that we hold THEM responsible for it. The GOP have the chance to stop him, they’re doing nothing. We’ll make sure all of their voters know it.
comment in response to post
THIS. SLAM REPUBLICAN PHONE LINES. JAM THEIR EMAIL INBOXES. MAKE SURE EVERY GOP REPRESENTATIVE, SENATOR, and STAFFER KNOWS HOW PISSED YOU ARE. CDC, NIH, FEMA, Social Security, Medicare… ELON IS A SOUTH AFRICAN BILLIONAIRE. WHAT THE FORK IS HE DOING IN POSSESSION OF YOUR SSN AND TAX DATA.

did not vote for this chaos and that if they don't stand up and do their job which is to provide checks and balances on the presidency we will make sure that they do not have a job come midterm. And we need to do it loudly and frequently. Break the phone system if we have to.
comment in response to post
I've said this before and I'm going to say it again. For those of you who think the GOP is 100% loyal to Trump you are mistaken. They are 100% loyal to their positions of power and if they feel that is being threatened, you will start seeing them break ranks. We need to call the GOP, tell them we
comment in response to post
if your Representatives are Republican, call those fuckers hourly
comment in response to post
THIS. ALL OF THIS. SLAM REPUBLICAN PHONE LINES. JAM THEIR VOICEMAILS AND INBOXES. WE HAVE TO PUT THE PRESSURE WHERE IT IS DESERVED. Democrats are frozen stiff, they’re still using the rulebook. GOP are scared of 2 things - pissing off Trump, and Losing Elections. If they KNOW we’re pissed...

dear NY and NJ residents, CALL you members of Congress. Daily! Send them emails. Leave voice mails. Make yourself heard. Social media is not gonna get you there. Liking Tristan's post will not do it. Pick. Up. Your. Phone
comment in response to post
yep. Now throw in NOAA and the NWS. FAA and Air Traffic Control getting “upgraded” by the Doge douchebags. The electric grid operators who get power from power plants to our houses. The repair crews who fix lines after storms. FEMA. While Kentucky is flooded. GOP gave democracy to Musk.
comment in response to post
Remember to CALL REPUBLICANS AND BLAME THEM for the economic crater that is about to hit. When they realize their re-election is on the line, their tunes are changing. Phone calls. Emails. Social posts. Town halls. Visit their offices. Hang all of this around their necks to own. Its their fault.
comment in response to post
if he turns up again, just remember

Yeah good plan

Call EVERY REPUBLICAN and ask them “What is the plan for containing the outbreaks of measles, tuberculosis, and Bird Flu, now that you’ve fired the CDC, NIH, and FDA specialists who were working on it? Why does the GOP want to make everyone sick, while you’re STOPPING medicare and social security?"
